Fast, goalscoring left winger.
He'd have been perfect for us.
But I suppose, even if we were in for him, he would always have chosen a return there.

Agree. Would have done a job for us.

Just going back to his "comfort zone".
Is the best player in the championship .

We really could have done with him to be honest, him and Lawrence would have been a brilliant pairing too.

Birmingham City say Gary McSheffrey is going nowhere Jan 31 2008 By Colin Tattum, Birmingham Mail
GARY McSheffrey is going nowhere, Alex McLeish insisted today.
Coventry City have asked to take back the winger, either on loan or a permanent basis.
But Blues have said 'sorry, nothing doing'.
"Let me nail that one: Gary McSheffrey is staying," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.
"There is no chance he will be leaving. We have had inquiries about him, but we are not prepared to do anything."

Nothing against Coventry's very own Mr Ian 'No,i'm-not-actually-going-to-rob-a-bank-depsite- the-fact-that-i'm-wearing-a-stocking-over-my-head' Dowie but i'm delighted with that.

Actually, Mr Dowie's unfortunate facial attire aside, if they fancy a pop at McSheff - does that mean they don;t fancy Julian Gray (Grey?) & we could loan him.
(Cue the "he's injured..." replies no doubt.)
