3rd ave 25th street from memory. There is another Irish bar directly opposite and if you walk up 3rd ave there are a number of other Irish bars and eateries all withing spitting distance.
We tried a place across the road and up a few buildings on the corner the Rodeo Bar, great mexican food and live music.
This part of NYC is well worth spending a night, a very pleasant stretch to visit. If you don't fancy the walk a cab from most parts of mid town will only set you back about $5.

Five minutes up from Fitzgeralds on the other side of the road there is a bar called "Tonic", again worth a visit, there is another bar obviously in the same chain on Times Square. More sport on TV than you can shake a stick at (wall to wall TV's and a smart gaff as well), mainly American sports (as you would expect) but also premier league as well.
