The season ticket terms and conditions suggest that if you have an ST for a child and they can't go then you can exchange the ticket at the ticket office for an adult ticket at least 2 hours before kick off having the paid any additional payment if applicable plus a £2 admin fee. I may get my daughter an ST as well as mine but could end up wanting to take an adult instead every so often.
If anyone has experience of doing this regularly, could they please help me with the following:
1. How do they work out the additional fee? Is it the difference between the price of a kid's matchday ticket for that stand for that match and the price of an adult's or is there some standard season ticket supplement for upgrading which may be a bit less than the matchday ticket difference?
2. Are they strict about doing the exchange at least 2 hours before kick off? I live out of town and it would be a pain to have to get to the ground so early.
3. Are they willing to post an adult exchange ticket? It might be that you can't post your ST voucher to them in exchange in advance, as they don't decide which voucher to allocate until last minute, but surely no-one's going to be stupid enough to try to get 2 people in for the same seat are they?
Maybe I should just phone the ticket office but thought it might be quicker to ask on here!

I upgraded my son's U11 ST for an adult ticket for the Bolton game recently. Cost me an additional £17.00 ( Not sure how that figure is arrived at ) + £2 admin fee. As the ST works out at approx £7 per game - £26.00 for a West Stand upper adult seems pretty reasonable.
They insisted I could only do it onthe matchday because of not knowing in advance which ST voucher number would be needed.
I don't know if there is any restriction on how often throughout the season you can do it.

Thanks for that bootthedog. Sufolkstokie I think that they're a bit stricter re Family stand but it's in the West Stand lower that I'm talking about so hopefully it will work along the lines that bootthedog says. Wish they'd do it by post thought trusting us not to be stupid enough to try to use the kids voucher as well once we've got the adult ticket!
