How the hell does Michael Mancienne get in when he doesnt play, yet our Ryan has been superb for us.
Oh yeah, Mancienne plays for Chelsea, that must be it....and WTF is Andrew Taylor all about?
Psycho is having a laugh. Shawcross should be given a chance.

to be honest, i don't want him to get a call up, well this season anyway, we need him at Stoke, i don't want him flying half way round the world for a pointless game when our survival is what is important.

Good news. The last thing we want is him getting injured.
Got to feel sorry for him personally though. In great form yet gets constantly overlooked. To be fair though, he didn't impress that much when he was given a whole TWO minutes UPFRONT against Wales.

Fuck me, there are some average players ahead of him there. You can only assume that Pearce doesn't rate him at all. Then again he's a very wank manager so no big surprise.

There isn't an English central defender in his age bracket i would swap him for, including that fucking ugly twat Wheater from Boro.
Pearce is a moron. Hopefully others will see his qualities...

We play a friendly against Slovakia on March 28th,i would not be suprised to see him in that squad.Fabio always says selection is based on current form and not reputation.

Unless he is being saved for the first team then I am surprised.
But not as surprised as when I looked at the name of the 4th official for the U 21 game.....Stuart (Tw)Attwell!
Standards truly are falling!

Psycho is having a laugh. Shawcross should be given a chance. I quite like Andrew Taylor, always thought of him as a decent left-back. Mancienne and Gibbs I can't see though. The amount of centre-backs who possibly/probably play better at right-back in there is pretty crazy. You could lose one of Richards, Onouha, Steven Taylor or Mancienne. I remember a geordie on holiday telling me Steven Taylor would be captaining the full England squad by 2010. I still have the odd grin about that now.

to be honest its proberbly not a bad thing, as less people will be noticing him and less chance of injury. but it is an absolute hoke hes not been put in there, mancienne in front of him really does show that its not your ability or form that counts, its just the team you play for

Surely James Milner is at least 25 now! The lad's been playing for the U21's for bloody ages!
In fact, looking at that squad, I thought quite a few of them were gone 22.

Think about it - Mancienne was called up to the full squad when he was on form at Wolves, now he is in the 21's...
Shawcross is on form in the Prem including a couple of goals and is left out of the 21's with the full squad to be shortly announced....

James Philip Milner - 4 January 1986. He's 23! Twenty fucking three! Thought he was pushing it but Jeesus, he actually IS closer to 25 than 21! How can any team be called U21's if players can be upto 23

Its players who are 21 or under at the start of the qualifying campaign for the current international campaign. The U21's started qualifying at the start of last season when he was 21. Stops you qualifying for a tournament with a group of playing then losing a load just before the tournament due to them hitting 22
