'The tan and the shiny shirts and the unconscionably large earpiece had a slightly charming eccentricity as Hull ran up the Premier League and became everyone's second team'

David Brent's a dickhead too, so I can see the comparison.
''Hull quickly became eveyones second team''? Not mine pal, not by a long way.

I don't go in for this individual assault on a character normally. Phil Brown has come in for a lot of stick on this board for being a character, however as I heared his comments yesterday I've had enough as well. If You've not heared it yourself its well worth it. What got me was how he rounded on the presenters in the studio as if they were in league with Arsenal! At the end he then made a really patronising comment calling Victoria Derbyshire "darling". He's becoming an embarassment to Hull City news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7950507.stmThe quote around 5.40 "i'm passionate about my football club and that passion will continue right the way until I move on to my next football club" says it all really

Doesn't like the way Fabregas is dressed? Well I don't like Brown's fake tan but I don't regard it as a matter to bring to the attention of the FA.
Anyway - I'm not sure why the Independent wastes so many words on the man – Just the one - “Cock” - sums him up perfectly I would have thought.

Christ, i onna even a minute into the audio link and it's making me toes curl!!! He didn't like the way Cesc Fabregas was dressed, he's not one for crying over spilt milk, and then shouting at the bloke presenter saying 'if you wanna listen to me!!' Fucking incredible stuff! Nearly as good as Joe Kinnear's Tourette's episode

I've read many messageboards of various clubs, and while some do have comments regarding PB, nobody comes even close to this one. Its bizarre, and becoming incredibly predictable. There must be 2 or 3 threads started about him or our club daily. Your obsession is getting ridiculous, I could understand if he was the Port Vale or West Brom manager, they are more your rivals. I know he wound a few of you up at the end of last season, but other than that I'm not aware of anything else he has done to upset you, in fact I seem to remember him being very complimentary towards Stoke when we played you earlier in the season, its all too wierd now. There was an awful lot of bitterness towards him when we were the media darlings earlier in the season, this didn't go down well as Stoke tended to get negative press for your style of play, but our clubs are in the same boat, we are treat in a similar way. Personally I admire Stoke and what you have achieved , and I post on here because our clubs have a lot in common. I'd love both clubs to stay up, and stick 2 fingers up to every expert that said we'd go straight back down. With the squads both clubs have, Pulis and Brown have put many managers in this league to shame. I just think the hatred for Brown has spiraled to a ridiculous level, and more and more Jonny-com-latelys seem to jump on the bandwagon. Its not normal, there's more to worry about, let it lie

Yeah, but he has made a complete tit of himself thought hasn't he? I had to switch off that interview after 3 mins, it was just too embarassing! I had a lot of time for him at the beginning of the season but he seems to have lost it since the telling off episode at Man City.

Sutton, on the face it, that's a perfectly reasonble argument, and there does appear to be something of a morbid fascination on this MB. I'm not entirely sure why it should be limited to here though; I travel the length and breadth of this country, and regularly meet supporters of other clubs who share my amusement at just how much of a cock PB comes across as.
We've all had a good giggle on here this season at Rafa's rant, Arse's whining, and especially Moanbray's delusional cockrot. However none of these (ok, perhaps Moanbray) can rival the level and consistency Tango's performance whenever a camera or a microphone are shoved in front of his unnaturally bronzed physog. What makes our very own panto villain so much more ridiculous is that he actually takes himself seriously!
I genuinely have no animosity towards Hull or it's fans. As you say, we probably have more in common than many supporters of either team would care to admit. It's just a shame that Tango isn't the boss of club that I could cheerfully dislike, so I could get maximum satisfaction from seeing the smug tosser fall flat on his face! ;D

The reason I dislike Phil Brown is because he is an egomaniac. What's happened with him and Fabregas, I've been out of touch with football for a few days?

We haven't forget just how lacking in class he was (and still is) and when we see a bloke who is all for himself, with Hull City's success just a happy coincidence we tend to take a rather dim view of him. Couple that with the twat he has as an assistant and he hasn't really got much going for him in our eyes. Nobody can take away the magnificent achievement that steering your club into the top division was but also nobody can dispute that he's a bit of an arrogant cock with it.

People take Phil Brown too seriously. Each to their own though MD, I personally just don't like how he conducts himself. The pantomine villian slant is often rolled out to gloss over when someone is a bit of an idiot and this instance is no exception.
