Forest have recently been linked with the 29-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order at Aston Villa. "A Marlon Harewood-type striker would certainly help our cause, for sure," Davies told BBC Radio Nottingham. "Marlon's name has been in amongst many others, we're always making enquiries and speaking to agents and clubs." The Reds, who dropped into the relegation zone on Tuesday when Barnsley beat Crystal Palace, face leaders Wolves at home on Saturday, having lost 5-0 at Burnley last weekend. Harewood started his career at the City Ground, scoring 55 goals in more than 200 appearances for the club before leaving for West Ham in 2003. Davies, who is desperate to bolster his squad with only seven games remaining, added: "We saw on Saturday how difficult it was for the four very good strikers we've got - three of them would like to play off a certain type of striker we haven't got at the moment. "We're constantly looking to get the balance and the mix sorted out. This type of striker is a priority for us." Meanwhile, on-loan midfielder Isaiah Osbourne will not feature against Wolves after suffering a groin injury at Turf Moor. But Davies is hopeful he may recover in time for the trip to Barnsley on Saturday, 4 April.

I thought ant-Stoke man, ex Vale tosser and Harewood's agent, Phil Sproson made it clear that Harewood would only join a Premier League team if it was 100% certain he had no future at Villa.
Oh he hasn't played for a while, yup, he will sign for them.

Dan - do you not remember? Harewood has hundereds of top teams all across the world battling out for his signature and there is no way he would go to a team not playing in Europe unless they offered ooh at least 450 millions pounds.
I would laugh my arse off he ended up on the subs bench in a championship relegation fight.

We've moved past the likes of Harewood now IMO.

I think we probably have moved beyond Harewood. To be fair, though, this potential move to Forest is only a loan and he can't move this season to anywhere other than a Championship club. The fact that none of the contenders for promotion seem to be interested in a loan deal speaks volumes though.

Surely he would be looking for something better.

29 years-old ...
He'll have to drop down significantly IMO.
