I was just going to say the same thing! RIP Jeremy - didn't he have something (not his little hand) that made him more susceptible to dying this young?

Shouldn't speak ill of the dead but had the misfortune of meeting Beadle in Hanley (think he was in panto or theatre or something).
He was one of the most obnoxious, arrogant men I've ever met. Maybe he was having an off day.
RIP

I'm not proud to admit that I immediatley began to imagine the moment during the funeral where one of the Beadle family is halted mid-elegy as Jez, wearing a false beard over his actual beard and brandishing a microphone, leaps forth from the throng of mourners and is met with a barrage of bleeps and canned laughter.
Seriously, though, RIP. Didn't realise he was ill.

Sky News. The 59-year-old has been suffering from leukaemia - his wife Sue and close friends were at his bedside when he died. The star, best known for the shows Beadle's About and You've Been Framed, leaves his wife, daughters Cassie and Bonnie, and step children Leo and Claire. At his peak he was pulling in 15 million TV viewers and his shows were a Saturday night staple for a generation of viewers. But the prankster had been in a coma during his last hours after being admitted to a north London hospital last week. Beadle, who was awarded an MBE in 2001, was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 and since then had worked tirelessly for charity. Just last month he appeared on Sky's Sunday Live with Adam Boulton show and appeared in good health. His spokesman said: "Throughout his life, Jeremy was one of the most significant fundraisers for Children with Leukaemia and is estimated to have raised over £100 million for charities of all description. He was awarded an MBE in 2001." Henry Kelly, Beadle's co-presenter on Game For A Laugh, said: "Jeremy and I were firm friends for nearly 30 years. I loved and admired him and I shall miss him desperately. "Not only was he a terrific colleague in our Game For A Laugh days and beyond, but he was a most wonderful friend to have and the most entertaining company you could possibly imagine." RIP. I used to love Beadles About when i was a kid.

He would have made a good contender on the new series of Gladiators.
