Indeed. Didn't Beckford get a three match ban earlier in the season for a similar thing?

Having seen it it was nowhere near as bad as the Beckford one and arguably it was accidental anyway. Rooney's on Abby was miles worse ..... so a 3 match ban it is then ;D

i watched it and i think he knew exactly what he was doing.
moanbray would never admit it but i think he is trying to make his little footballing Gods a tad more agressive and i think that was an example. They even did a couple of long throws last night!

Rooney's on Abby was miles worse ..... so a 3 match ban it is then ;D There was nothing accidental about that! Apart from the fact that he's a Manure player, I think Rooney escaped punishment because he didn't actually do any damage. The knock that Green took was quite nasty, and Olsson will be suspended IMHO. Unless of course Moanbray manages to persuade his friends in high places that it was a cultured, aesthetically-pleasing assault, not the common thuggery you might expect from those nasty ruffians at Stoke.

That's disgraceful. If Ryan had done that, I have no doubt that he'd be looking at a ban now.

I didn't say it was accidental ... i said you could argue it was accidental. Beckford's was blatant and easy to call but Rooney obviously got away with the 'i was trying to shield the ball' line and Olsen's 'could' be seen as just jumping awkwardly. If there's much doubt they get away with it.

I didn't say it was accidental ... i said you could argue it was accidental. And I could argue that I'm better looking than Brad Pitt. Sorry Beardy, I don't mean to be facetious, but if he was jumping with both arms up (in the same style that Shearer used to clobber his victims; "It's just the way I jump, ref. Honest.") then there might be a case for the "jumping awkwardly" argument. However, Olsson had his left arm down by his side, while his right elbow was trying to knock Green's teeth out! Anyway, it looks like Halsey agrees with you.
