Just noticed thier next two games are tough away games so I have a feeling they are going to get dragged in. Yes,they have never been that far away but not mentioned recently.

My predictor got the bottom three as Sunderland, Boro, West Brom, and someone on here matched that with the same points I got.

Yes,but they went on a bit of a run, pulled clear and suddenly they are very much back in the crap and it is a bad time to go off the boil. As someone who has their surname I don't take any satisfaction in saying this but I think they will go down.

They're certainly still in there, but i think they'll have enough to stay up, Sbragia is a decent manager.
The way i'm looking at things is that West Brom have already taken one of the relegation places, so that leaves:
Stoke Newcastle Middlesbrough Hull City Blackburn
battling it out to avoid taking the two other relegation places, i think Portsmouth and Spurs are safe, they are slowly starting to pick up.
It's going to go to the wire thats for sure.

I can't really see how you think Portsmouth are safe but the likes of Blackburn, Hull and even Stoke aren't.

I think it will be tight between us and Hull particularly, maybe even where we are battling for the final spot in the last game or so. If we are the last day will be a real nail-biter, we have Arsenal and they have Man Utd!

Can't see it really. I see the real candidates now as:
O Brazil O Boro O Us O Newcastle O Pompey O Blackburn + Maybe Hull
Someone like Sunderland could still be dragged in now though.

One Team always goes into free fall at this time of year in every league. Could be anyone currently above us regardless of the fixture list

three games time they have man ure at home and they finish the season with chelsea (home i think) so if they get 0 points from those four games then that puts a lot of pressure on the winnable ones. They got to lose the next three first though. If they pick up 3-4 points then they will prob have enough momentum

I can't really see how you think Portsmouth are safe but the likes of Blackburn, Hull and even Stoke aren't. I'm just basing it on the run-ins really, Hull still have: Aston Villa Man Utd Liverpool and also Bolton Away And Blackburn have: Liverpool Chelsea Man City All of which are away from home. I think we'll stay up, its just with our poor away form there is heaps of pressure on the home games, if we can pull through them i think we could be safe before we go to Arsenal.

I would go one further, I think Brazil are gone (as do around 90% on here I think) and I can see no possible escape for boro, they have no goals, the fans are wank, they concede stupid goals and, basically, they just arent good enough.
I would then say for the third spot its between Pompey Sunderland and Newcastle, with Newcastle going down due to their ridiculously hard run-in
I am convinced Stoke will survive.

We have never been out of it lads imho, I have taken solace in the fact we still have Hull, WBA and Portsmouth to play, but Saturdays performance reminder me of the 15/19 points seasons, so I am even a bit jittery about them games this week Personally think West Brom & Boro are 2 spots 3rd I haven't got a scooby and will change from week to week. We have the disadvantage of not having a manager really, I have been here many times before so its hope time rather than expectation. Champions League, European Cup and mid table lethargy will start playing a bigger part as the relegation candidates dwindle week on week so the predictions will get harder as the season goes on. Still think 38/39 will be enough given how many games there are between those involved..

Sunderland are only a few points away from us, so yeah, they can be dragged in. Their loss to Wigan would of done them no good, morale wise so I'd say them and Hull are the teams above who could be dragged in. Not forgetting Bolton either, although they maybe a bit too out of reach.
WBA, Boro and the Toon to go down....that would be very nice.

Presumably you are a Sunderland fan, sunshiner? Yep been on here all season, read the board most days, don't post a lot unless something worthwhile and usually involving us, players etc.

That sounds like an unhealthy obsession, Sunshiner! You're the proverbial moth, attracted to the beacon of red and white stripes.

As a Hull fan I find this a strange thread. According to 90% of Stoke fans (I read most days) Hull are going down. We are currently sat 1 point above Sunderland in the league and the thread is about Sunderland possibly been involved in the relegation battle.
Every team in the bottom half is in trouble. Someone will go down that people are not really expecting at this stage.

They'll definitely get dragged in over the next three games (Citeh A, WHU A, ManU H) and will stay in the dogfight until May.

I think the West Brom are as good as down, even if they beat us (god forbid) they're still doomed based on the fact they can't defend for toffee and they can't shoot for shit.
Then I think Newcastle are looking extremely ropey given their run in. After that i think Boro are also struggling, everyone else may do just enough.

Even though we have all (even WBA at times) fought hard and ruffled a few feathers this year, surely theres a good chance all three promoted clubs could go straight back down??
