Kris Commons - he left us I know, but I hear ol' moneybags QPR want to sign him for 1.5mill. Not reckon he could do a job for us? certainly a good midfielder who can score goals and is creative, I'd deffo have him back here. Whether or not he fits the bill that Tone is looking for I don't know. Hopefully Tone is looking that is! Gonna be a transfer extravaganza tommorow at the Brit, can feel it!

At least we're entitled to 15%.
I'd love to get him back. Can't see it for a minute though.

He'd be roughly one million times better on the left than Cresswell, as much as I like Cressy. Bags of skill and an eye for goal. Yes, he's a prick, but if he got us up I wouldn't give a chubby blonde little shite.

Another remarkably eloquent, well-reasoned post as to why the last half-decent left midfielder we had, who is miles better than any option we currently have in our squad in that position, should not return. I give up.

half decent left winger wasn't he part f the team that struggled to get out of the division he currently plays in ...bit like forest are doing at the moment ....i also remind you of the fact we got promoted when we got rid of him and that other twat kav suppose you'd have him back aswell eh Commons is not good enough at this level end of

You can't argue with some folk. He'd be a great signing. Sadly though we've had all season to look for a left wing man, and have done bugger-all about it, preferring instead to play the only other striker we have aside from Fuller who can score goals, out of position.
Lest see where we are at midnight tomorrow. I had exprected faces to come in, but now I'm not so hopeful.

would much prefer someone with out and out pace and strength
he has great skill, but not brilliant physically.
But i wouldnt complain if he signed, he's a touch better than pugh on the left ;D

he's not premiership quality and never will be, we need to be signing better than him to "push on," Would deff prefer cresswell at LW even though he's far better upfront and can't cross a ball.

u bin had off there scfclifer, u plonker, he delivers quality balls into the box as does lawerence, and to have players like tht on either wing has got to be an asset to any team

No thanks.
He has found his level.
Are we not supposed to be aiming for promo and raising the bar.
Bjarni was a miles better player and I would not even want him back .

Are we getting that desperate that the best player we can come up with now is the pie eating mercenary?
If he is as good as you say then surely he would have been snapped up by a team higher up than Forest by now?

Well RAF - given the alarming lack of news coming out of the club, and with only 24 hours to go I guess that barrel-scraping is our last comfort.
Signings ought to have been sorted way before now. Like I have said before, losing out on the players we need in one transfer window is unfortunate, in two you have to start asking questions, in three it has to boil down to a certain level of incompetence on the part of the club and it's management.

Commons fat?? I don't think so lads. Some players "shape" may make them appear a bit chubby, but are actually not i.e Rooney, Maradonna, Parkin (ok, not Porkin). The Kris Commons I remember had a turn of pace, could beat players for fun, and knew where the net was. Apparently he's still doing it for Forest. Hasn't he scored a few this season?? Can't see him coming back. The reason he left in the first place was because Tone wasn't playing him. Plus I'm not sure Commons would fit into the harmonious dressing room that Tone spouts on about so much.
RAF - you call him a mercenary, but he's played for two clubs his whole career so far. And he left us to join his hometown team. Doesn't smack of a mercenary to me!

He told Stoke he was happy to stay while engineering a move to Forest. That to me is mercenary.

Sign him up. The added bonus of Creswell up front with Fuller makes it seem like two signings and maybe we could get £2.50 for Mama.
