The results are entirely unpredictable because there is not a lot to choose between the teams in terms of quality. Its all down to the twists and turns on the day and a hope that our home form will make the difference. So that, plus the fact that we have the edge over West Brom, I'll go for 8 out of 12 with wins against 'boro and Newcastle, draws against Blackburn and West Brom.
Dunno about you guys but this season, my 46th as a Stoke fan, is killing me. I hate being in the bottom three.

Good on yer Kiwi. The older you get the more it matters somehow, dunnit?
There were long periods in the last 20 years, particularly the last 10, when I never thought I would see Stoke play top flight football again. Now that we have it, I just can't face the prospect of losing it.

It may just be next match trepidation, but I have a very bad feeling about the Boro game...they may just realise they've got a fight for their lives on their hands...
Stoke 1 - 2 Boro WBA 1 - 1 Stoke Stoke 2 - 1 Newcastle Stoke 1 - 1 Blackburn
5 points, would put us on 34 and still with a good chance, I think, with 5 matches left. Though of course i'd be delighted with a bigger haul!

Think we might be looking at only 5 points. 2-0 win Boro 1-0 lose WBA 1-1 Castle 1-1 Blackburn Just done the BBC predictor - have us to finish 16th on 40 points. Blackburn 17th 35, Newcastle 18th 33, Boro 19th 33, WBA 20th 28.

There were long periods in the last 20 years, particularly the last 10, when I never thought I would see Stoke play top flight football again. Now that we have it, I just can't face the prospect of losing it. I started going regular the season after we last went down. Remember the loss to Coventry in the cup was when i knew i was hooked cus it hurt like hell! Thought we we,re going win the cup, well you do when you,re 16 don,t yer!? So spent 10 seasons following a div 3 team so i,ll take this position all day long fella as long as we stay up of course ;D

I remeber that Cov match Kiwi. Micky Gynn scored for them and we had a good shout for a pen turned down when Lee Dixon got tripped in the area. That was the year Cov won it.
My gut feeling is that we will survive this year but its going to be by the skin of our teeth. Safety before we play Arsenal away is a big ask. Dont know if my nerves will stand it!
