Still confident? I'm stating the obvious here, but you desperately need an away win to stay up IMO. I know you are strong at home, but the pressure on you for each home game will become immense. We have a bit of a cushion now, but I'm far from confident, FWIW you WILL beat Newcastle, they are utter crap, can't believe we didn't beat them. Its getting very interesting don't you think?

I think you're right about the away win ST, it's a bloody good job we've still got you and Brazil to play really! I'm surprised to hear your views on your game though (although I haven't seen any football since I got back from Goodison to be fair) as a mate heard a report that said the Toon battered you and the reporter didn't know how they hadn't beat your lot?? All about opinions eh?

win next week against boro is a must in my opinion. Then with that confidence we go to west brom where we always win! and we still have to go to your place, and having seen you lot play lately i would be confident of a point at least. it may be tight but i think we will be alryt. As much as it pains me to say it i think you may be alryt aswell, even with that useless deluded orange twat in charge

They had 1 shot on target, Duke hasn't made a save all game! It's the little club being disrespected again, should be used to it by now. As for your 1st away win, you definitely have a chance here if you go for it, if you sit back though, I can see use beating you

Morning Sutton:
Although an away win would be priceless for us, I believe we'll stay up without one. We've got 5 home games (3 of them against our closest rivals). Even allowing for the desperate nature of those fixtures, I think we'll get 10 of the 15 points on offer. I also think we'll pick up a couple of points away with fixtures at Brazil and (no offence) yourselves to come.
All conjecture I know.
You should be safe Sutton and, to be fair, you've done great first season.
Hope we'll both be taking on the big boys again next season.

TBH I'm more confident we can get the points on the road, starting at Wigwam next week

ST, the points you got in the first half of the season will see you right. You are a bit anxious but having those points in the bank is a great cushion to be able to fall back on.

The thing with many posters on this board though Jamo, is when someone says something good about Stoke, they know what they are talking about, the opposite and they are clueless. Look at our stats yesterday, to say they battered us is laughable mate

Look at our stats yesterday, to say they battered us is laughable mate That's the point mate, I'm agreeing with you. I didn't watch your game and you didn't watch ours. I don't agree with Walsh and you don't agree with Merson. We had Everton panicing for a good 20 minutes after we scored and deserved to be level before they sealed the game in injury time. You intimated on the other thread that Walsh being an"expert" probably meant he was right (he wasn't) and I said I'd heard you got battered and as you were there (as I was at Goodison) you can say that Merson was talking out of his arse. That's what I meant about it cutting both ways.

Beat Boro and there will be a cushion between us and the bottom two
Then its finish above A N Other for safety
Easier said than done I know but thats how Im looking at it

Losing to Boro then beating West-Brom would be 'typical stoke'..but if we have to lose one of those games then please let it be at The Hawthorns... IMO Hull will stay up, like Stoke, by the skin of their teeth, and WBA/Boro/Portsmouth will go down... But I might be wrong... And it will be exciting and terrifying...
