Not much of an atmosphere in the ground but speakin to a few Everton fans before the game and they were top blokes. Had a balanced view of things and were not deluded like your usual glory hunters from the big 4.
I thought they were a decent lot to be honest.

Well said Akinbadbuy. We chatted to several Everton fans before and after the game and enjoyed the banter. Several even said after the game that they hoped we'd stay up. Top lads. Quite why they made Goodison seem like a morgue I don't know. Maybe their good cup run has turned their mind on to other things.

I'm not suprised they want us to stay up - they've had 6 points off us this season!

An Everton fan came on Collymore's phone in on Talksport and said we were the loudest at Goodison this season. ;D

they were a shocking lot wern't they? We were sitting right next to where their fans were, and even when they scored, they didn't give any banter, no turning to us shouting "come on" or anything. The only noise we heard, was one fan say "it's not fellini, its jo" when we were singing "felini get ya fro on"

Whilst it's always good to see ( or hear ) good levels of support. lets not kid ourselves this season for many is a bit special...it wasn't always like that by any stretch of the imagination..largest following I've seen us take to goodison BTW ( bar the semi replay)
Point scoring of 'loudest' fans' is I see as being more important to the the younger element or those wanting to see that we got something out the day - IE we did our bit and off the pitch be won our battle, not our fault the team is shite etc.
Personally these days more concerned on who wins the battle and the points on the pitch..
PS was young once and still vocal at the game, so know exactly where people are coming from , but the games about results not a eurovision song contest. We were up against it , they weren't

To be fair to Everton we've not always been the loudest and looking at it from their point of view a home game v Stoke isn't one that they're going to be really up for. When we played at home to Derby in the league cup we were pretty quiet and I guess their fans must have thought we were crap!
Like Mr Fornside said all the Evertonians before and after the game were sound as a pound and were wishing us well. I really hope they go on and win the FA cup.

I really hate it when we don't get banter, i thought it was just us their yesterday.
Villa game on the other hand was great for banter, I'm sure baggies will be up for some banter as well.

they were really bad yesterday! Yeah but in fairness we're not scrapping for our lives like you lot and not going to get into the champs league so as a result the atmosphere is compromised.

That's always the way Wizard. The atmosphere at the Brit was a bit crap for Hull but our away support is always very vocal.

That's always the way Wizard. The atmosphere at the Brit was a bit crap for Hull but our away support is always very vocal. But we still sing, at regular intervals, we just dont go mental. These guys dont sing, at all. they score then let out a little cheer and clap and then sit and drink the rest of their tea. The ground wasnt to bad nothing amazing just your average ground. But the surrounding area was a right shit hole.

Regardless of the game, the home atmosphere was pretty embarrassing though. You're through to a cup semi-final and still in with (a bit of) a sniff of fourth spot so I'd say it was still a fairly big game and that your team deserved better support.

On TV, Everton fans always seem pretty loud.
Probably the fans that go the most mental at away games too. For an example, watch the highlights from their game at West Ham this season.

walking back to the car the Everton fans were more miserable than the Stoke fans, seriously you'd have thought they'd lost the game. Jesus christ is this what the premiership does to you? only arsed about the big games, coudn't give a shit when you win the games you should win plodding on in complete indifference? I expected so much more, if its that boring why not give us more tickets and we will show you what its like to support your team for EVERY game!

Sniff...sniff....whats that smell? Ah I know its all these SOUR GRAPES! No it's called an observation and it has no bearing on the result, if we had won we'd still be mentioning how bad the home fans were. I have no doubt that you deserved to win, (although it looked for a while like we could have drawn level) we are merely commenting on what awful support you gave your team. Don't feel too bad though, you are in good company with most of the other home fans we have visited.

wizard-of-anus try sniffing again you might find its you that stinks. i went in 2 pubs and the everton fans were great, had good chat to a lot of them. a few told me it was like a graveyard in the ground. even though you wizard are a dick head i hope your team goes on to win the cup, for the sake of the real fans i met.

Listen last season you couldnt even fill your small stadium. If Everton were shite enough to be in the fizzy pop division we'd still get a decent gate. Any team would have noisy fans if they havent been in the top flight for 23 years ffs. Weve been in the top flight longer than anyone. COYB!
