At the great risk of ridicule and abuse, I would like to appeal to all parties to unite for the next 9 games to ensure that our great club survives in the greatest league on Earth. I am NOT pointing any fingers here because I know that EVER SINGLE ONE OF US wants the club to succeed. Yes, we differ in opinions as to how best to achieve that and I enjoy the debate on here as much as anyone. We all have opinions and many (including me) voice them pretty vociferously before and after every game.
What does get depressing is the vitriol with which some posters 'jump on' to this board during away games to lambast the manager, some players, the tactics, the team selection etc. These posts vary in the extent of their extremes on a goal being conceeded or us getting one back. It really does get very depressing to see just HOW DEVIDED we really are in our opinions.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not niaive and I know that people will always voice their opinions and quite right too ( I certainly voice mine). All I would say is, we've got just 9 games left (5 of them at home) and I believe that we have a good chance of survival. The arguements will rage on about TP and his selections and tactics but, at the end of the day, none of us will influence any of that and I would ask everyone to simply trust him to do his job and keep us in this division (even if you are in the anti-TP camp).
At the end of the season there will be an almighty debate on TP/Tactics/Team selections/Signing etc and that's all great (IT SHOULD HAPPEN).
Nowt wrong with posting our opinions. That's the whole point of such forums and the debate is usually intelligent and enjoyable but
Please..................
Please..................
Please.................
Stop all the silly over-the-top running threads on away match days.
Farting in the wind I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dixo:
We DO all want the same thing but differ in our opinions on how to achieve it.
Wish we could just put it all aside for the next 9 games though and show the world that Stoke Fans can unite in adversity and support those in charge.
Won't happen though dixo because there are far too many who know better than the manager!!!!

I know.
Seems they were booing again at half time yesterday?
I missed that on the streaming, I could never do that to the lads in red and white although I have for many years loudly shared my thoughts with individual players as they trudge off the pitch. Sometimes I even imagine it has an effect on their attitude in t'second 'arf.
GOARN STOKE
WE WILL SURVIVE
I've said that all season and I stick by my prediction.

To be fair at matches both home and away we are pretty much united in support of the team. Maybe its that the moaners are in such a small minority they get washed away by the proper fans but I only tend to see/ hear moaning on here or praise n grumble.

United strength is stronger
Just try telling the wrist slashers. They can't survive without a little self-harming.
