Shawcross, Whelan, Lawrence, Wilkinson all left out for periods of time and all have come back like men possessed.
Surely great management by Pulis ?

Don't forget big Mama who despite not starting earlier in the season because of Kitson, he came back through merit and Kitson's misfortune and although he's not fully fit yet, before he got injured, he was and could be one of our best players!!
;D

We were split on who to blame and it looks to me as TP thought it was Griff's fault.

Yep - Shawcross was making noises about a move not so long ago and Whelan threw a strop at being subbed. They've come back far better and obviously with mean competition at last no one is guaranteed a place.
'Shawcross, Whelan, Lawrence, Wilkinson all left out for periods of time and all have come back like men possessed.'
Maybe Kitson will be re-possessed by Reading with any luck .......

It's testament to their characters in the sense that their heads could have dropped during their time in the so called wilderness. A players character comes before anything and once Pulis notices this then he can work on these very same players in enabling them to become even better individuals/players. Mope around and they're of no use to anyone, on the other hand if they keep their chin up and work hard then you'll get your rewards because same as TP says 'it's a team game' and he likes players that will not only graft hard but likes players that will run through brick walls for both themselves and team-mates. Tony Pulis is an absolute gem of a manager and one that we should all be proud of. Top man Tony Pulis who commands respect because he works damned bloody hard at gaining it in the first place.

I'm with you tazi. Sometimes his tactics and selections leave me banging my head against the wall but in all other aspects i think he's bloody brilliant and for his 1st year in the prem i'm very proud of him.

No doubt his value would have gone down. Now if Reading were to come back up and if it were true that we only paid £2.5M upfront 'as some posters have suggested on here' then i suppose Reading would look to regain his signature at a cut price £1.5M. I doubt he's worth much more than that especially as it appears that he's fallen of the radar by not even making the subs bench. Possibly seems to me that his heads gone and isnt prepared to work even harder in training in an attempt to win it back too.
