I'm sorry to say but Beattie and Fuller partnership is here to stay.
As much as Mama plays the 'Mama role' really well. Mama isn't going to get you as many goals as either Rick or Beattie. Beattie played the Mama role pretty well tonight and looked a hell of a lot more dabgerous than Mama ever as!
Agaisnt Everton we are gonna have both Lawrence and Ethers on the wing! So a lot of balls will/SHOULD be played down the flanks, meaning that Mamas ability to win flick on's will be useless. and I would rather have Beattie/Fuller and Even Kitson in the box when balls are coming from wide than Mama.

have to agree as well, i love mama to bits he always gives 100% and unlike crezzy can actually do something good with that 100% but fuller and beattie is just so much better for us. i still think mama could be a good weapon to throw on for the last 10-20 mins because his hard work will be good for stretching the tired legs of are opponents.

We should be using Mama as our late-in-the-day battering ram against tired defenses, say when Ric has run himself into the ground... (Basically replacing Cresswell as our hard-working attacking sub to chase the game )

He's done enough this year to suggest he has a place.

I always liked Mama but felt the Prem would be a step too far for him. I'm very happy to admit he has proved me wrong but I do think his lack of natural goal scoring ability puts him behind Beattie in the pecking order and Fuller is our special weapon.
I think Camara could be the Fuller back up and Kitson or Mama the Beattie back up. When we play West Brom mnaybe we should shove all of em on ;D

With players like Beattie, Fuller, Lawrence, Etherington and Whelan at our disposal we shouldn't be as reliant on Sidibe as many fans think we are.
I'm not underestimating Mamma's performances for us this season by any means, and he's proved me totally wrong with how he's adapted to this level, but we've got enough quality in the team now not to have to revolve everything in the attacking third around him surely?

I think the question would be better phrased as:
"Is Ricci Fuller capable of giving for 90 minutes what he has for 40 in the last two games".
My take on that would be no ... On the season's performances so far ... And from Pulis' post-match interview I reckon he'll feel the same.
I reckon Mama will start, and Ricci will come on when "the game is stretched".

He definately has something to offer, and like every member of our squad has a key role to play from now till May 24th, but on the flip side we can't afford to be carrying players at this stage to boost their fitness, that doesn't mean we should isolate him out of the equation, it just means he needs to pick the front line on merit ahead of the game at Everton next week, and for me, based on recent form, Fuller should partner Beattie from the beginning, we don't have the luxury of being able to bring our key players on late on, and Fuller at his best is vital.

He had an off night tonight, not really got back to himself since is unfortunate injury, and tbh without him, Rorys throws are useless and ineffective.
so no mama = no rory maybe?
Leaves it open for Whelan when Ethers comes back into the squad.

Leaves it open for Whelan when Ethers comes back into the squad. Don't agree about the Mama and Rory's throw thing mate. Mama hasn't really been that involved in the goals from Rory's bombs and we have plenty of candidates to make the most out of them.

Mama was marked out the game today but that allowed Beattie space. I think keep fuller on bench tip mama becomes inifective or we need pace. We have got good results playing mama so why change it.

I am a massive Mama fan. Whilst I can see where your coming from with Fuller and Beattie I totally disagree with having Kitson in ahead of him. Kitsons attitude has been shocking, he looks uninterested and clearly doesnt want to be at the club. I also think Fuller is better coming off the bench than Mama is. I love Fuller to bits but still dont think he is fit enough for 90 minutes and is more effective as a sub. Also dont think that cus Lawrence and Ethers are fit we will be firing in crosses or should I say quality crosses into the box either. Lawrences deliveries are often poor.
Im glad that we now have competition for places anyway.......

Mama has done great and he will be a useful asset for us as normal.
It is quite clear that he is still struggling with his knee and saddo that I am, I have actually noticed that he is jumping off his other leg at the moment.
He is clearly not fit and he isn't the mama from earlier in the season at the moment.
Either way, fit or otherwise, Beattie and Fuller WILL be our forward line once Rikki is fully recovered from his shoulder injury.
