He did wonders for us from (out of position) last season and if I saw the blokle in a pub, I'd buy him a beer.
BUT
TP is fast turning him from a cult hero into someone genuiine Stokies actually hate. This isn't on.
Cress doesn't pick himself, but the fact that LL has not played for a month is down to one man, and one man alone. And he must , take the blame for that. To pick Cress away from home is scandalous at best, negligent at worst.
Today? We had NO attacking outlet with 5-10 minutes to go and needed Camara's pace in the channels so badly. So TP, who can do no f****** wrong in some eyes, puts Cress on wide right.
Guess what?
Their left back scores, untracked, more stick for Cress, and TP gets away scot-free.
Ffs, TP has turned a cult hero into a tw@. Sorr, but today our manager cost us as much as anyone.

Barely a cult hero! I never thought he was good enough on the left last season despite his 11 goals. Can't thank him enough for his goals though despite what I think of him.

Bayern, yet you kinda justify it afterwards. 11 from wide midfield - apart from Ronaldo, what other player in any other league etc, etc?
Sorry, but Cress as much as anyone got us up last year.

I never rated the bloke though. I thought even in the Championship he couldn't skin anyone, wasn't quick and couldn't cross a ball. Yes his goals were vital but he's everything I never want to see on the wing and thought so last year too despite his goals. Just one of those things that I never rated him in a Stoke shirt.

I agree bunny and I feel harsh on Cressy because he seems the honest type that does put his whole into playing for Stoke and I respect that.

yes it is the managers fault for continuing to play him, a mate of mine told me something that has made me see pulis in a different light and i understand why he plays him so much. it centres around pulis' love of players who will run around for 90 minutes like a chicken with their head cut off, and he is happy as long as they have put themselves about a bit. i wonder whether coates will at some point have to make a decision for the good of the club and the city and not for the good of one man.

I would av prefered Camera for his pace, Stokies around me were calling for him to come on. but i do like Cressie when played in the correct postion. even with 3 minutes left Danny Pugh down the left wing decides to waste time instead of getting it into the box but then lost it.
