i see on alot of threads it was sharcrosses fault today i dont think it was havernt you ever been a defender and tryed to clear the ball and its gone in. its part of the game he a young lad and he will find it hard to get over it so come on lets get behind him (i no its not all of you)

It was just bad luck really.
He was in the right position and it hit the wrong side of his leg. If he didn't try and get it we'd all be up in arms about him not attempting to go for it.
Bit dissapointed about today but I'd rather get 1 point than 0.

on watching MOTD, people have been saying that Hreidarsson's shot was going well wide, but if u see the replay, Crouch would probably have got on the end of it, so Ryan had no choice but to try and get rid of it
as for peopl saying about the "offside", it has been cleared up

He'll be feeling bad about that tonight for sure, but it's all part of the game as a central defender.
It's not as though he's slapped his captain... or needlessly kicked the ball at a player on the ground... or kicked an oppo player nowhere near the ball right in front of Rob "the Knob" Styles is it?
At least Ryan's error was an honest one and he'll be around next week to put it right.

Good points RoryM.
I don't think Crouch would have got to it had Ryan left it BUT it was an honest mistake. It was instinct that led Ryan to stick his leg out and bad luck did the rest.
We move on and as far as I am concerned no one on that pitch today did a bad job. I thought Wilko was immense. My MOM even with Beattie scoring two.

The lads a legend, as I said after the match, he's probably saved us a lot more points than the two he lost us. He appears to love Stoke like the rest of us, so that must have hurt him.

Not sure if anyone else noticed but it actually took two deflections. It took one off wilko just slightly then off ryans shin.
