and replace him with one of the wankers that text or phone into P+G every time we don't trounce the opposition. O.K we don't all agree with his teams selections and subs. The same was just as evident last season when he got us PROMOTED. WE are in supposedly the best league in the world, and looking at the crazy priced being payed for players you have to believe it. We are playing against clubs that have managers who have had seasons of Sky money to strengthen and build their teams, but we are still in the mix with at least twelve of them, and with just as much of a chance. Give the bloke a chance FFS, we are learning the game anew. We are up against it, but doing well so far. I'm just as disappointed as anyone that we didn't win today, I bet Villa fans are too. We are trying to consolidate, which is as much as we can hope for at this stage. We are bringing better, experienced players in, Fayex2, Beattie, Kelly, Higgy,Kitson, (yet to get a run of games to prove himself or otherwise),as well as blooding youngsters, Shawx (I know ex Manure. Wilko- my MOM today-, Dicko. WE have a long way to go before we can expect to go on a winning streak this season, but stay calm few other teams are either. I've been watching football to long to expect miracles, just be realistic. We should be looking to stay up this season, not win the league. That is not a lack of ambition, but a realistic assessment of the club and the game. I'm convinced we will stay up, and will be shouting till the last ball is kicked no matter what the outcome. Come on, Stoke, You CAN do it!

No. Lets get rid of Pulis and replace him with a manager that knows what hes doing We're Stoke, not Chel$ea. We're not going to get a big name manager. TBH I wasn't chuffed when Tony took charge again, but he has done something with this club that no other manager has done in the twenty two and a half years I hav been watching Stoke. Have you seen any club that has done something by getting rid of their manager when things start to look a tiny bit negative? Thought not... We have more managers than most teams in the last twenty years, and getting rid of him will not help matters at all. SAF actually came out with one very true point when he said that the people these days are the Internet Generation and expect results instantly. Think about it for a second, and realise that we are better off than we have been in a very VERY long time. We may be struggling near the bottom, but we are not holding up the table, and we are still safer than other teams. Give you cynical arse a kick and get with it - we are going to survive this season with the manager we have got. It may not be pretty, but it will keep us up. Have faith.

Negative, poor, one-dimensional performance that has to be blamed fairly and squarely on the manager.
Three defensive midfielders and a deep lying forward.
Back to hoof it to Mama.
Pulis is out of his depth.
Portsmouth were there for the taking today.
Two very valuable points lost today.

Whereas the Manager may be taking us down with HIS negativity. Pulis will and should stay to the end of the season. I think people are giving him the chance - I know one bloke who has given him 30million of them.

I think it's fair to say that Pulis hasn't got the complete backing of the fans. Did anyone notice today the barely audible rendition of "Tony Pulis Barmy Army" it probably only got around a couple of hundred people singing. Pathetic really.
He deserves this season, obviously, but please Mr Coates do not make us endure another season of this mind-numbing shit called Pulisball.

We nearly won after the worst display we have put in all season. We are still in with an even chance of surviving this season. The man who saved us from relegation back to the third division, won us promotion to the Prem and has given us the chance to stay up hasn't convinced some people?
Tony Waddington never convinced some of the moaning whingers we get at Stoke. Jimmy Greenhoff was vilified during his first season at the club. Mama Sidibe was abused by people on this board year after year. Get behind the team everyone - moaning has a negative effect.
TP is here as long as PC is chairman - get used to it and remember 'United Strength is Stronger'

nah
it was a damp squid of an effort
remember how the Lou Macari one sounded, the whole crowd together, that's how it should be.
just pointing out that there an awful lot of fans who just cannot take to this manager, or perhaps being more accurate, his style of mind-numbing, crap football.

So crap it has won us promotion to the Prem and given us an evens chance of staying up. Perhaps you would like to play 'proper' football like Lee Sinnott did at Vale. The players at even Portsmouth's disposal are embarrassingly good compared with our squad and yet we are holding our own. It is our 'crap' football that is giving us the best chance of survival.

Not sure what some people want.. We had 2 strikers today, he brought on Tongue as another attacking option for a bit of width. I couldn’t see too much hoofball today.. When you are playing in the best league in the world there are going to be large periods of the game when your without the ball – at these times you have to defend in numbers or else risk getting thrashed... Nearly all sides in the prem will try to defend with 2 banks of four, when they don’t have the ball. The difference between Pulis style of play and a lot of the premiership sides, is that Pulis tries to get the ball forward quickly when we win the ball back, sometimes long – not always, other teams play a more slow deliberate build-up – Pompey being one. He has his style of play, and that’s that, he isn’t going to change. If his style of play is something you can’t bear to watch, then perhaps you shouldn’t waste your money. I have sky sports and watch all the games in the prem and only a handful of games have been entertaining to the neutral – fact is if 2 good teams are defending well, it won’t be a great spectacle. Don’t hold on to a romantic notion that someone is going to come sweeping in and play fast flowing beautiful football. The reality is if we try and outplay the United’s & Chelsea’s – we will do a Derby.
