i always maintained 16th and i haven't seen anything yet that has made me change my mind. Despite it all, we are stoke! and we will make it as painful and as ball breakingly difficult as we can! 17th is clearly our aim but it won't come to that ;D I do think Hull will make 17th but i can't decide on the order of the others ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

We will be safe, even after an average performance today I think we have enough quality - and fixtures we can win - to see us safe. Without Beattie and Ethers I would be pessimistic but I'm convinced we will do it!

The worrying thing is, Portsmouth at home is about as winnable as it gets (apart from WBA), and we were very lucky to get a draw.

More winnable than Villa, Arsenal, Spurs.... less winnable than Hull and Fulham...that's football unfortunately, if we won every 'winnable' game we would be half way up the table. I'm not worried, I would obviously be happier with a win than a draw but we're still not in the bottom 3, and have games ahead of us that give us hope.

It is going to be very, very tight, and anyone who thinks we will still finish mid-table are deluded. Our away form is shocking. We have home games against 'lesser' Premier League teams only, and if we replicate our form that we have shown against the 'lesser' Premier League teams so far this season, we will go down. As simple as that.

I don't want to predict tbh, I'm just praying three teams keep playing worse than us.

We need 5 wins. We won't beat Bolton and Blackburn at home imo. We'll almost certainly lost to Villa, Everton, Fulham and Arsenal away so we need to beat Wigan, Boro, Castle and West Ham at home with one of Hull or West Brom away. It'll be tough but we can do it.

I don't want to predict tbh, I'm just praying three teams keep playing worse than us. After watching your match yesterday thats hard to imagine. A truly atrocious game with zero quality. Still a very realistic chance of the 3 promoted teams going straight back down, but out of the 3 of us, we have the most realistic chance. It would be a real shame if none of us stayed up

i agree sutton tiger , although hull are being dragged in the deep end , i can see them staying up with their early season form , although i do think we will stay up 18th - Blackburn 19th - Middlesborough 20th - West Brom Although Blackburn played immense against Manure on saturday they have a very hard games to play and cannot see them scraping much out of this last stretch. Middlesborough havnt scored in what , 5 games , no goals = no points , cant see them staying up. West Brom , well there West Brom , never had a chance IMO. Sounds so easy, if only!

That may be all our eggs in one basket but he's looking a fucking good basket at the minute!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

I was very hopeful we'd sign him, especially now with our strikeforce looking paper thin. You do seem to score enough goals at home (I wont mention away ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) ), keeping them out at the other end is the hard bit

Don't worry about our away goals tally though, we'll have the chance to rectify that before all that long (any guesses where? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) )

Blackburn looked pretty impressive against The Shit last night. If they play like that until the end of the season I can see them finishing out of the bottom three. We need to catch, and finish above Dull if we are to avoid the drop.

I was optimistic about us staying up before the Sunderland/Portsmouth games..but now I am getting a bit worried...we were hopeless at Sunderland only Salif Diao came out of that game with any credit..and yesterday we looked lost..sitting back far too deep...almost afraid of Portsmouth...and the next two away games are Villa and Everton...
Blackburn played well last night too...
Not looking good is it?

IMO if we get 3 wins (hopefully 4) out of the 4 game streak of Borough,Brazil, Blackburn & Newcastle (3 of those at home) then we will pick up enough other points to stay up. This is an exciting season! It will be fun to meet the dingles in the top tier next season. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)
