Dont forget, if it werent for him, we probably wouldnt be in this league. I'm not saying all of you, but can some on you even jog your memories back to last season where he scored 12 goals, most of them crucial for our promotion, and the most vital one against colchester?

I don't think that anyone can doubt that he did a decent job for us last season by bagging us 12 important goals, notably the one against Colchester but I think that the majority can see that he's just simply not premiership standard at all and it's the fact that despite this observation, Pulis keeps on playing him.
Obviously, we're grateful for what he did for us last season but when he's being played out of position or even in his own position infront of much better players with prem experience like Lawrence, Kitson, Tonge etc, it's just so frustrating as we all know that they are much better players and could have such a better influence on the game than Cresswell, who's got a distinct lack of pace, can't beat a man and runs around like a headless chicken as he looks lost quite a lot of the time.
This is why he recieves the majority of stick that he has, simply because he's not good enough at this level. I'm not knocking his efforts by any means but when there are better players who have much more to offer in the positions he plays in, this is what annoys the majority of fans imo.

because he's drawing £19k a week for running round a lot, he bears the fans frustrations as apparently you can't say anything against Pulis on here as he is always right. Last season was then and he got paid well for that, this season is now and he isn't good enough, no sentiments when a place we have waited 23 years for maybe gone in a season owing to Puli's stubborness. Cresswell 10 prem starts, 2 draws, 8 defeats 0 goals 0 assits, his only goal was against Cheltenham doesn't that tell you something ?

Because it is like playing with 10 men and a sheepdog

I entirely agree with you and I am usually the one defending him, but in all truth, he isn't good enough for the prem, despite what he did last yr.

"If it wasn't for him then we wouldn't be here"
This has to be the stupidest justification ever for playing a man who is so out of his depth it's frightening.
If it wasn't for Souleyman Oulare sticking one in against Cardiff off his arse cheek we wouldn't be here either...perhaps we should feel morally obliged to play him as well?
The arguments put forward for playing Cress well are just so easy to blow-out of the water, that it really does highlight a desperate lack of ability to really debate any point on this message board. "He works hard so leave him alone" isn't going to cut the mustard I'm afraid...there is no excuse for playing this man, as hard as he tries and as much as he contributed to our promotion.

Because he is not even close to being good enough
No goals
No assists
Uses up the place of a proper midfielder
Is a perfect example and reminder of the daft outmoded ideas of the manager

Let's just rejoice in the fact that it looks pretty nailed-on that he won't be starting today.
Although, if we lose, you can bet that some will blame it on us missing Cresswell's aaaaard work

Why does Creswell get so much stick?
NOT why do people moan because he plays week in week out?

I thought he was defo to blame for their second goal today and if it wasn't his fault, then it must have been Pericards. (winkey thing)

It's about the here and now and yes we should thank him for what he did do. But in the here and now he isn't good for this league. He only offers us running around and in this league that's not enough.
