Everyone seems to be predicting this partnership tomorrow. Where's the pace ? Surely Camara should be starting with one of the above or how about a 3 pronged attack,Camara and Beattie up top with Mama just behind,a kind of 4-3-1-2 formation.
Nah thats just too attack minded for TP

E-mail TP Or at least wait to see if it fails before you slag him off

Absolutely no way TP will play Mama behind a front 2 but i agree that if Beats and Mama play up top its gives us a distinct lack of pace in a team that badly lacks it in almost every area. They are ver6y similar players and i think they would struggle to play together as both are the "target man" but according to the reports on here they will start the weekend. Would like to see Camara but if we get 3 points i couldnt give a fuck who starts!

Last time I looked Mama had plenty of pace! He's not quick over the 1st 2 yards like Camara, but once he's at full speed he's bloody quick I reckon! Thats half the reason he's such a handful, mixed with his height & strength.
Can't see him playing Beattie & Camara upfront with Mama in behind as it would be too narrow, Pompey have attacking wing backs with Johnson & Belhadj so playing a 4-3-1-2 would give them too much space to attack our full backs.

the way we play, there is no necessity for pace upfront. We have two of the best target men in the league up front. One of which with some of the best finishing ability that I have ever seen at the Brit! (mama )
