Can I ask a general question about purchasing of season tickets please? I currently got 300 quid saved up for my season ticket next year regardless of what division we are in (I was originally just going to buy one if we stayed up - but then realized that I didn't care - I want 1 either way!)
Now it's been a while since I got 1 - my last season ticket was in the boothen end at the Vic (happy days ;D ) but even then it was my dad who got them.
My question is (so that I know what the crack is when the time comes) how do you buy it? Do you have to go to the ground and do it? Do i have to wait for them to go on 'general sale' first i.e to let current ST holders get 1st dibs etc. Do they have a limit to how many can be sold? Your in the same seat every time? How does that work? I mean how do you pick the seat or do they pick for you? and I will be buying a ticket and going to the match alone....but say as a one off I wanna take the missus or a mate or 2, is it possible to swap your regular seat for another seat and one or 2 extra seats (obviously paid for extra) next to that seat so that you can sit with those people?
OK so it was a few general questions ;D any help with all of this would be greatly appreciated. Like i said...just wanna know how it all works in advance so I know what to do when the time comes. Really excited about going seeing us play again regularly and can't wait to get a ST - Will be gutted if for any reason I am unable to get 1.
Thanks!

i think how it works if there is a deadline for current season ticket holders to renew their current seats, if this passes and they havent then the seats go on general sale, you go upto the ground and say which stand etc and they have a screen with all available seats to choose from.
With regards to taking the Mrs (dont!! trust me ;D) you can swap your seat from your season ticket to a different part of the ground if seating is available, and you pay for the extra ticket plus and extra cost ie if you move from the boothen to those nice padded seats in the Smiths its going to cost you more i think.
Hope this helps you a bit

I am unsure whether to get a season ticket, it would be a risk. NOT a risk in case we go down, but I'm not sure which uni I'll be at next year, could be Nottingham, Durham or Manchester, if I ended up at Durham it would be a waste PM crazypotter. He's at Durham and I swear one of the lectureres is a ST holder so it maybe possible!

The thing to do is to go down & buy your ST as soon as they go on sale. This means you are guaranteed the earlybird price and gives you the best choice of seats available.
When the deadline passes for current ST holders to renew their seats you can then go down and look into moving your seat to a better one if available. If you do move to a more expensive area then the upgrade cost is charged at the earlybird rate as this was the rate when you first purchased. If there are no seats to your liking then you've still had the best choice of the seats available at the time. Either way, you're a winner.

What is the situation with renewing but reseating? I.E. My old man has a season ticket in JS lower this year but wants to move across to me and my mates in The Boothen next season. How does he go about doing that? He obviously wants to renew at the early prices but then wants to move his seat to Boothen. WD They will just swap it mate, you should have no trouble if there is an empty seat next to you.. I did the same some years ago when I got fed up sitting next to this burk week in week out, moaning all the time..
