Their football really is ace. Almost as good as us.... ;D Unfortunately in the fizzy pop league it's like the posh kid at school getting the sh*it kicked out of him every day. Got £10 on a second half fightback - get into em!

Doesn't their play prove you can play good football without spending lots of money. We excuse Stoke saying we can't compete on money so we have to play route-one, but Swansea are more than matching Fulham. What sort of side would Martinez produce if he had twenty odd million to spend. What I really liked was that he applauded Dyer for taking his fullback on even though he eventually lost the ball, most unlike a certain Mr Pulis. I appreciate what Pulis has done for Stoke, but would like to see adventurous football.

The Jacks are my Championship team ;D
Wouldn't mind seeing Gomez, Rangel and Britton in the Red & White ??
I expect Tone would go for Ashley Williams though.....fits the bill.

Unlike WBA etc. they play it on the floor, but in an offensive way, not tip tapping at the back. Great stuff.

If Ledley is allegedly worth £7million then Gower must be worth £10million the guys quality.

Could be worth keeping an eye on Martinez. You'd think someone would try and poach him soon.

they would hammer us thats a coincidence, ive just been thinking im glad its not us playing them. if you were a neutral, you would be forgiven for thinking that swansea were the team that have spent £24m+ on their team, not us

They are a good footballing team, but have a real competitive edge as well.
They're not far off a play off place in the Championship, which is a very good effort considering it's their first season since promotion.

We all want to see flowing football, but i honestly think would we be on less points this season, playing flowing carpet football instead of our current approach. exactly mate! great point I think if we set out to play "carpet football" alone and nothing else, then Luke is completely right. I think if we played more passing, mixed styles a little more, and changed when it's not working, we'd be on more points than we are. We don't play the way we do because of a calculated decision that it is the most effective approach. We play that way because it is the only thing that the manager knows.

We all want to see flowing football, but i honestly think would we be on less points this season, playing flowing carpet football instead of our current approach. exactly mate! great point i'm not to sure, the question is... would that roberto martinez swansea city team with a further £24m+ of players do better than we are, by playing the way martinez likes to play? imo yes, they would certainley have more away points. the thing is, like has been said above- we all want to see fast flowing football, if we survive this season, TP will be hailed as a genius and we will be watching more of the same type of football for seasons to come, yes its nice to be a premiership team but our brand of football is not very pleasing on the eye is it..... what means more, premiership status ? or fast flowing effective football? why cant we have both? imo Roberto Martinez is living proof that you can create a fast flowing effective football team for very little, the most important signing a chairman will make is the right manager. allthough i dont want to disrespect TP for what he has done for the club, because like many say, if it wasnt for him we would not be here. But watching a championship team play very good attractive football like that does make you wonder when we will see a stoke team play like that ???

We all want to see flowing football, but i honestly think would we be on less points this season, playing flowing carpet football instead of our current approach. exactly mate! great point the reason why we can't play carpet football, is because there is no decent coaching at the club, nor anybody who knows how to coach that type of football. Swansea prove that you can coach average players to a high quality of passing. I think we would all agree that good passing is a useful tool at this level. Our passing is woeful.
