Basicaly because they arent up for a battle. I think alot of these "big" plauers are similar to the Arse players that went unbeaten all season but that group of players never performed at Bolton because they got a physical test. Now to say that is the only reason would seel the Stoke players short because as well as this the Stoke players have been absolutely immense at the Brit this season and this is the reason that we are going to stay up

Because they are all pre-madonnas who are overhyped by the media.
Yes they may be skilful etc... but they have absolutely no interest when it comes to a scrap.
They sit in their london penthouses the night before the stoke game, turn on skysports and listen to people who get paid a small fortune to stereotype our club and do absolutely no research whatsoever and say Stoke are a dirty team. So they dont want to get stuck in incase they break a nail.
Then they come to the Brit, swan round for 90 minutes doin naff all then when we get a result against them it's because we kicked them off the park and played no football at all. In fact I think we should be kicked out of the league now before we do someone some serious damage!!!
GREEDY MONEYGRABBING TOSSPOTS!!!

Lampard was poor against us at our place. Should have scored two goals, but he was too cowardly to go where he might get hurt.
Those players are all used to teams who won't give them a game and who let them get away with everything. They don't expect a team to be up for it and to actually dare to tackle them firmly.

Because they think it's only Stoke, and they'll piss all over us. They forget that they come from Planet Arrogant.
Oh and don't forget they are overated too.

As others have said most of them players aren't as good as the media make them out to be. We have got a squad of players none of whom are dirty but all of em will battle to the end and the pretty boys don't want to know.
I've now seen Ronaldo live twice and I've seen him play for Portugal (I never watch the shit) and from what I've seen of him it would take Ronaldo and cash to form a swap deal for Cresswell

Because theyre all VASTLY over-rated.
And as for Lampard showing up, that was the only game this season bar the first half at Spurs where we have made no effort to close teams down.

I think it has more to do with the performance of OUR players at home than the failure of other teams star players. We have been immense at the Brit, and have imposed our style of play upon the opposition, regardless of who they might be. People can be critical of our tactics all they like, but in home games we have managed to make many of the Premier Leagues "world beaters" look very very ordinary and long may it continue. As a Stoke fan, I don't want to see the best players in the world come and give us a footballing lesson, I want to see them humiliated, humbled and beaten by a team that i am proud of, regardless of other peoples opinions on "entertainment" value.

Have to agree, both him and Terry were excellent at The Brit, without being overally affective they controlled large spells of the game, Chelsea are the best side we've seen at The Brit this season in my opinion. I think the main reason why most big name players struggle here is a number of things, the hostile atmosphere, and another main factor the fact we are one of, if not the best hard-working side in the division, we don't allow these players to play.
