Their next 4 games are:
Liverpool (Home) Stoke (Away) Chelsea (Home) Man Utd (Away)
How many points out of that lot?? -No wonder he is nervous!!!

I actually think he is trying to be something he isn't. He always tries to sound like some deep thinking philosopher type when in truth he would earn more respect by just being himself. A decent number two maybe but not a manager.

In fact no, forget that, lets hope he hangs on by a big snotty nosed thread until the end of the season ..... thus taking them down ..... we would then get to see that nuimber 1 freak fan of theirs in tears on MOTD (you know the one .. blue and white wig, top hat no shirt ... looks a right coont.)

He won't get sacked after Liverpool even if they get spanked. His benchmark will be the Stoke game, if he loses that then he'll go. "Sacked in the morning.........."

Basically Adams got flogged at the gallows by Hansen and Shearer on last night's MOTD. And for once.... you couldn't argue. But I have the sneaking feeling they are in such a mess that even a new manager won't sort em until after we've played em. Pity the January window does not affect managers.

So let's be supportive of a fellow Premier League team struggler like Portsmouth, and give him some serious shit at the Brit !
Sacked in the morning, you're gonna be sacked in the morning...................

Adams wont go with a little bit of the window open, but I bet he doesnt get f all to spend. hence the loan for the Greek.
What's that they say about Greeks bearing gifts?
lots of rumours that the dressing room is lost for him, they have no idea what he's on about most of the time.

following in harrys footsteps was always going to be tricky but when he buys pennant an out and out winger and plays him in the hole behind crouch youve got to start questioning whats going on in his head

Shows how quickly things can change in football. At the start of the season under slug-eyes Redknapp, Pompey were widely tipped to break into the top 6. Now that 'arry's fucked off and alcy's in charge they've gone from UEFA cup-spot challengers to relegation material within the space of a few weeks.
I think Adams needs to get a few bevvies down him during the matches to make him think clearer...imagine how ace it would be on Sky sports to have the camera panning across the touchline, to capture him swigging from a whisky bottle while shouting random stuff out like a mad old tramp.
Then during the post match interviews he could just slur his way through a few nonsensical answers before saying "you're me beshtest mate Garth" and vomit onto Crooksy's shoes.
Come on Tony, stop this psuedo-footballing intellectual garbage and get back to your roots.

i hope he stays there all season. just like i hoped ince would at blackburn! adams failed at wycombe, how do you get the portsmouth job having proven you ain't good enough for wycombe!
they still have a great squad, with the right motivation they could easily get out of trouble. i just pray their board doesn't realise that. i geniunely believe with him at the helm there is potentially a situation developing where it's us and the rest scrapping to avoid one place with them and west brom slowly getting cut adrift. that would be ideal, cause i think boro are looking very good for that place!
he gets sacked and they have a decent chance of recovery. hopefully they'll wait til after the united game at least. you don't want a new man coming into the club to be faced by defeats to chelsea then united, you want a winnable couple of games to come into. if we win a couple in that four we could pull away from them. here's hoping!

I agree with SCFC75 He will be OK till the Stoke game. Defeat at the Brit could cost him his job. However with the transfer window closed who would fancy taking the task on?? My guess is the best they could get would be Dowie or Holloway

I reckon he'll be gone this week. If the chairman has 1/2 a brain he'll want a new man in for the "6 pointer" v us

Proves yet again that being assistane doesn't mean you can step up and do the top job well. They are completely different roles.

Please lose late on to 'Pool and have the chairman thinking you're okay and unlucky not to draw. He will keep you on for our game. Where you WILL lose, and get sacked.
That is how I want it to happen
