Richards bundled Griffin over. Glad Richards didn't sit on Griff, there could have been a fatality. He must be the fatest player in the Prem.

Richards is looking for it all the way, he's on his way down before Griff gets anywhere near him.
Poke ball into touch, roll over, fingers crossed, bollock ref.

Griff barely touched him, maybe on the back of his left calf, nowhere near enough to bring him down

It would have been the icing on the cake if they had of got it... I'm surprised they didnt, cos they got 99% of the calls today. And It wasnt a penalty

not now, not ever, he triped over a falling griffin and the richards fell around 3 or 4 seconds after the contact, it was never going to be given

Just goes to prove that this conspiracy theory of crooked refs is just a conspiracy theory.....
Good call by the ref, Griffin was manhandled and Richards did the perfect dive.

Griff clipped his ankle and got nowhere near the ball, if that was the other way we'd all be screaming we'd been cheated, Griffin proves again what a liability he his, nearly cost us.

There's no way it was a legit penalty shout. Richards' first touch (with his shin) had let him down and he realised he couldn't control it, so he went down quick smart, thinking the bit of contact with Griff might con the ref. That MIGHT have happened on another day, but not today. End of story.

Quite a spread of opinion - I thought it was a pretty strong shout having seen it on MOTD, and in block 12 sort of in line with it, seeing the ref signal to what turned out to be a goal kick had the old sphincter twitching big-time.
My view is that this was a classic case of a ref looking to maybe even things up, or at least opting to give us the benefit of the doubt after a BIG decision against us earlier in the game (where SWP should have walked also).
Soooo.....assuming Beattie would have scored anyway, application of twisted logic suggests Rory walking may well have gained us 2 points....!!!!
Love football......
