Today, very noticible. Normally when he wanders around and sulks, the majority forgive him, as thats Ric for you. But today, from the 1st minute when it took him 5 minutes to lace up a boot, everyone around me was giving him some stick and shouting for him to get on with the game everytime his bottom lip dropped. I think the fans patience has been thoroughly tested over the last month with Ric, and he needs to start putting in some outstanding performances to win possibly, in my opinion, the majority back. We can never deny his skill and importance to us, but sometimes for Stoke fans, desire and pride for the club overcomes this.

totally agree penners, i adore the bloke, but today he really got on my tits. not a minute gone and he was on the floor waving his arms about. and his total reluctance to pass the ball in good positions is starting to worry me. but what a finish by bt.

The thing is after the west ham incident, you would think that he would be blowing out of his arse to impress supporters...He looked very dis interested at times!

i agree you can't argue the mans got talent , the problem with the talent is the ego that comes with it .
i think its his ego thats getting damaged now he as another proven goalscorer alongside him .thats why he loves playing alongside mama. i thought there were numerous occasions when ric could and should have played the ball through but didn't and got caught out .
looking back in time i thought the same happened a little to bertie when steino came along . i could be wrong and i hope I'm wrong and that ric can learn how to play alongside beattie.

Looks like he was ready to sulk after Beattie's goal.
'He's stealing me limelight ....'

Also, he was the only Stoke player not to get involved in the aggro after the sending off.

He's probably been warned to steer clear of fights etc to be fair. The very last thing we'd want in his first game back is for him to deck somebody.

I would think he's been warned off aggro very forcibly indeed! The question really is how he responds to not being the only star striker anymore, will he step up or would he secretly rather be the best striker in the Champ again?

I like Ricky, but someone needs to point out to him that he's actually got more yellow cards than goals this season. He looks to me like he's pretty much not arsed at the moment.

Ready to forgive him - but, injury apart, I think he needs to get his arse in gear and his mind sorted - or he could well be a casualty.

Actually, I think Fuller's underperformance today was down to something else.
In the early minutes, he had his boot ripped off his foot by a poor tackle that should have resulted in a free-kick. He came off the pitch to the dugout right in front of where I sit and the boot was literally torn to shreds, it was ridiculous, the guy had just gone right through his foot. He also had a gashed arm that had to be bandaged up with all the palaver over swapping shirt and shorts and then on top of that he pulled up injured in injury time. There was also a double foul on him after 30 minutes, the reaction to which resulted in the video replays being turned off.

Ric is the only true class act we have and I am willing to forgive him his odd strop. I don't understand some people on here. Mama runs around a lot but can't hit a cow's backside with a banjo and he is great and Rory gets sent off for gross stupidity, but that is ok. Ric has the odd off day and we shoud sell him - mad.

Yer ok, the bloke fucking gets booked nearly every game, he is always in the ref ear, he sulks, he waddles about when the ball aint at his feet, and then he slaps his captain, off day !!, the fella is class dont get me wrong but its wearing very thin, the team is all about pulling together and putting in a shift regardless of ability, and rics just not pulling it for me,

Beattie is a class act, as is Ethers, as is Abdy Faye, as is Shawcross...........Riccy is becoming a pain in the arse!!!

Tone needs to get his arm round Ric and ask him to prove himself again. Stick with him and sing for him ........that will do the trick.
