Pleased for him, signals an end of an era for Stoke City letting him go. Hopefully we can move on to bigger and better things. But it does seem weird seeing him play for a different club, however shit people thought he was - he was always solid when called upon.

He's a damned good player is Buxton. I think you missed "championship" out of your sentence.

He's found his level. Poor player. H I think that's a bit harsh tbh. Yes he isn't a premiership player as he was never going to do a job for us this season and tbh i was pleased to see him go in order to leave room for quality defenders to replace him but he's not a poor player by any means and he always gave a solid performance for Stoke in the championship when he was given the chance. Well done Lewis, good for you!! ;D

I love people who continually, destructively criticise We have "good championship players" showing there worth in the Premiership (Sidibe, Whelan etc). Buxton was never given the chance. Good luck to the lad.

Did anyone see the feature on the grand 101 year-old lady who was going to the Sheffield Wednesday game today as a guest of the club? Apparently she hadn't been to a game since her husband passed away in 1971. She's lived through two World Wars, countless Prime Ministers and American Presidents, the Titanic sinking and now Lewis Buxton scoring a goal! I think she can safely say she can die having seen everything in her life.

Buxton was/is a good championship level player however was always going to have a mountain to climb here as he came along as lil Ants (quite useful on the quiet) best friend.
If he had come to us because he was Rics best friend then, regardless of how good he was, there would have been people constantly calling for his inclusion in the team....

Probably on a few thousand left in the group when he scored...I was glad I stayed to witness it.
