I think the win will do us good in terms of tempting players in. I think we'll sign maybe 2 more before Monday, and hats to Pulis for bringing the previous 2 because they will be the difference in staying up. There is a long way to go and were by no means out of trouble but after today things are looking much better than a few days ago. Interesting that were on the same points (24) has Spurs here's me thinking they had pulled away just goes to show how close this league is. We cannot let it go down to the last day of the season, Arsenal will be going for a place in Europe ??? I think whoever we bring in now will be a bonus uncle Peter has spent a lot of money. A very interesting maybe exciting 24 hours lies ahead

today's result can't have done us any harm at all!
My only question is why can we be so good at Home and so poor away?
Answer to my own question is 4-5-1 away and 4-4-2 at home!
or is that ridiculous?

Camara will be in - before anyone asks for sources I have a very reliable one and those who have seen me post before know they don't need to question it.
God knows who else though possibly from abroad but he always has his doubts about players like that

Well the bull shit has started anyway, Harewood: www.sundaymercury.net/midlands-sport/aston-villa-fc/aston-villa-fc-news/2009/01/31/stoke-city-middlesbrough-and-portsmouth-battle-for-marlon-harewood-66331-22827185/Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth battle for Marlon Harewood Jan 31 2009 ASTON Villa striker Marlon Harewood is at the centre of an 11th-hour battle for his services. With the transfer window closing tomorrow, Harewood is still being targeted by Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth. Villa have ruled out letting the former West Ham United marksman leave on-loan. But a suitable cash offer could persuade Villa manager Martin O’Neill to sell. Harewood has barely figured for Villa this season and his first-team chances have recently suffered a double setback. The arrival of Emile Heskey and the return to action of John Carew after injury has pushed Harewood further down the pecking order at Villa Park.

Before Beattie i was thinking he would be good for us but now I don't think we need him.. Were desperate for a creative midfielder, would still love to see Ledley come in.. Anymore rumours regarding Ledley ?

I think that we can forget Ledley.
Dave Jones was on local TV tonight saying that he would not have time to spend the money so Ledley (and everyone else) will be staying in Cardiff.
Ridsdale also said that no-one would be leaving Cardiff in the transfer window in the South Wales Echo tonight.

I have said that all along, the reason they did not sell him last window was because it was too late to do anything with the money and it's the same again this window now Doh !

If we fill the midfield away from home (and we do have the personnel to do it) then why not 4-5-1? We don't need 10 men behind the ball and this formation gives us a degree of attacking option! You have to wonder what we have to lose, away!

is that due to the replay, Gary? Popular belief on this board is that Cardiff have accepted an offer from us. This is totally incorrect Cardiff havent accepted an offer as they have no reason to sell right now, they believe they will get more money for him in the summer.
