I know it's easy to be desensitized to domestic transfer fees, in a world where Sonko costs £2m+ and Olofinjana sets you back £3m.
But that looks like a steal for an excellent C'ship player, and a great signing for Cardiff if he goes.

I like Smith,i think he could cut it in the premiership.
Certainly, if Cardiff sign him and they lose Ledley, it won't be much of a loss to the sheep shaggers.

Stoke eye £1.5m Tommy
Stoke are ready to offer Tommy Smith a return to the Premier League.
Smith has been heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Rd and a £1.5m fee would come in handy for the Hornets.
He has top-flight experience and is confident he can compete at the highest level. He admits he's in the dark about his long-term future, but is convinced he has the ability.
"I don't know if I'll be here at the end of the window. The club are satying they need money, and I can't rule anything out at the moment"
