So to give TP a helping hand, which players do you think he should panic buy before the window shuts, given that we got Tong and Soares with hours to spare last time round, and look how they've turned out!!!

That’s just the problem, he never gave them the chance to turn out.

none - 2 or 3 shit hot loan signings will do me!!! we shoul be looking in the reserves/youth setup of clubs like Barcelona, juventus, ac milan, Real madrid for a couple of very good loan signings until the end of the season if possible. players that are hungry for games. never mind fooking mr 'can he make the step up' from a mid table championship club which is what will happen.

Hmmm FBS, Barcelona to Stoke, cant ever recall any dealings between the two clubs ever, or Madrid, Milan, Juve or even Clachnacuddin!! Maybe our scouting network doesn't go beyond Rochdale, Bury and the like.

oh right, does he get games there? i'm not a big follower of scottish football, o.k maybe we'd struggle to attract players from such clubs but you get the general idea. top european clubs, even top uefa cup clubs.

FBS he's a first team regular. Was on tv up here in the league cup semi against Falkirk. He's still packs a fair old wallop in that left peg too. If only we had some shots from distance................

For the pessimistic on here, we have already signed Beattie and Ethrington.
That is more than many expected by this time in the transfer window and both signings improving the team, let alone the squad.
3 days to go and I'm sure TP will do his best, with the "experience" of the last window under his belt.

As I see it you need three main attributes to stand a good chance of being a potential good premiership footballer, Pace, a bit of strength, a fast footballing brain and be comfortable on the ball( surely the scouts can see if a player abroad has the qualitys they need to be a success in England?) if they cant be sure they should not be scouts. , anybody who can not pass a ball should not be a professional footballer in the first place. There has got to be players out there sitting in top european reserves/youth set-ups that have these capabilitys.
