Hopefully he will be fit very soon now, but the question is, how will he fit into the team with Beattie and Fuller currently both fit? Even Kitson (on paper at least) will be more match ready than Mama. So does he have to wait for someone to be injured to get back in?

Nothing against Mama but I hoping he doesn't fit back in because that would mean BT and Ric have hit it off and we're doing well. I have high hopes for these pair as a partnership.

mama behind rik and BT. 2 lads chasing the knock ons would be real fun.
with tones recent comment about rethinking his away tictacs, he may just be radical enough to do it ....................
3 2 1 and wake up

I agree totally with that, Jamo. It'll be interesting to see what we do when he's fit. It's arguable that the undisputed greater quality of a genuinely Premier League strike partnership in Fuller and Beattie , as well as a proper winger, will negate the need for the Mama role, and thus Mama. You always got the impression Pulis favoured the Mama role as a quick tactical fix, to make up for the lack of quality he was able to call on. Very few people can make that position work at all (as we've found out), and he's proven himself to be special player to basically be the fulcrum of the entire attacking dimension of the team over the last 2-3 years, with his work-rate and athleticism. But I'd go with Beattie and Fuller asundisputed first choice now, as surely the extra quality we have now affords us the luxury of not having to be quite as one-dimensional. He's a great option to have up your sleeve though - which makes it hard to see where Kitson's going to fit in, especially if we buy another striker.

Yeah mate, I hope that the added quality of BT and Ethers along with the returning Ric and LL will mean we can adopt a plan B and mean Mama will have to settle for a place on the bench. If we can get a good quality midfielder in we'll be set up nicely going forward.

Personally, I would pick BT and Mama.
I still believe that Mama makes the Stoke team tick, and without Mama we look lost.
As for Fuller, he is a welcome sub to have on the bench. Whether he will like it or not, will be another matter, but that is the problem for TP.

I think Mama could be just as effective, in his own way, as an impact sub as Fuller. He did it a couple of years back during Parkin's loan spell - came on with 20 mins left and changed the game, and he did it against Villa this season. Ruffling feathers and knocking tiring defenders all over the shop.
