You will be better off at the Birthday party than watching our lot get another hammering

Go down the print shop and see if they'll make a big card board cut out of you and then stand it in the garden with a brolley and a fag but with a waving stance - They'll never know the difference (The brolley is incase it rains in which case they won't come out to you or if its sunny people will think you're a bit crazy and leave you alone)

Stoke City will be around for the forseeable future, birthdays come once a year... do the birthday thing, as Eff says, we'll only get hammered...

you could pay for a clown to turn up and entertain the young uns, if you leave the house just before the clown turns up at 12.30 and he then leaves at 3. You could then go the game and turn back up 3.15 and claim to have been the clown ! its brilliant and it just might not work ;D

Birthday Party.
For the reasons stated by Salop, most definitely not for the reasons stated by Eff.

Should have booked the party at the Brit mate, plenty of clowns down there ! (in man city shirts of course).
Seriously though, every moment with your kids and grandkids is priceless and you should take every opportunity to be there, especially birthdays and things like that.
There will always be a Stoke and to be honest, they wont miss you anywhere near as much as your grandaughter will.
Bloody hell, I am getting soft ....

Tell her the truth...
stoke is much more important than a 3rd birthday party so you will see her when you get back from the match ;D

tell them as we are playing the billionaires and robinho is in town you have to go to the game but will back within 30 mins of the final whistle stoke may only be in the premiership this year and as you are not getting any younger you might not see robinho play and tell them you are relishing the chance of abusing him
