FFS, Diao seems to pull a muscle every time he breaks wind!

I think this is good news, I dont particularly rate Diao, and when him and Faye play together in the midfield we look a very poor side. Long live Whelan ;D

"There is better news with the regards to the progress of injured duo Mamady Sidibe and Leon Cort, who have both been undertaking fitness sessions with Club coaches, although it could still be several weeks until they are close to being named in a matchday squad."
I'm not entirely sure why that is better news. ???

Yep I agree, basically it's several weeks away from the first team and then another several weeks away from starting and getting match fit....basically we're looking at a couple more months until either are fully fit and ready to start which is too long to be without Sidibe for me

I hate to say this, but it's beginning to look like we might have to discount Mama for pretty much the rest of the season.

I'm right in thinking Diao is out of contract in the summer, aren't I? I can't see him being offered a new deal with his injury problems (although TP does love him).
I agree about Sidibe- every game without him is bad news. However, when he went down against Fulham we thought his season was over so, I suppose, every match he plays in is a bonus.

how many injuries have we had this season so far to first team players? any other team in the league sustained more than us? we seem to be really unlucky with regards to injuries . TP must be working them to 'AARD' ;D

So I think that still means that an experienced player is required in centre mid and not to write off that extra forward on loan at least.

Shame, I`m sure our recent bad run of results are partly down to Diao not playing. Not great on the ball but immense sitting in front of the back four and breaking up the play.

i like diao. i think hes a good holding midfielder.better than amdy when fully fit.but he seems to be injury prone at the moment.amdy is doin good but i think diao is better. but you cant criticise either of them for not being attacking enough as thats not there job.

I think the main gripe of Liverpool fans with regard to Salif was his fitness record.I think he is just one of those players.I seem to remember TP hinting some of his problems may have been phsycological.FFS Salif get a soddin grip.
