Watching sky sports news last week following the Kaka saga and breaking news came up and they spoke to the cheif sports reporter, Bryan Swanson...The breaking news was the chances of Kaka join city are 50:50.
Then today prety much the same thing happed "sky sports sources understand that the Arsenal chances of signing Arshen (whatever his name is) are 50:50 making abig deal of this 'exclusive information'
But I was thinking what a load of bollox...
Of course it's 50 he either signs or he doesn't there are two options. You flip a coin you could get heads or tails...the possability og getting heads is 50:50
it just pissed me off a bit - Rant over

If the coin is weighted you then you could have a 70/30 chance.
I see your point though.

fair comment owd. it's just lazy journalism. maybe if they backed their statements with some cold hard facts and maybe even show how they come to that conclusion it would be more imformative!

A 50:50 chance not based on the probability theory, which is -
"the prior probability of A is equal to the prior expected value of the posterior probability of A." That is, for any random variable N, where is the conditional probability of A given N.
So based on that theory of total probability, we were always destined to sign Pericard! ;D

The coins that dont go into vending machines no matter how many times you put them in. You can try and spin them, put em in slow or fast but they dont work because of me.
