While obviously taking all tabloid space filler with huge doses of salt, phrases like "closes in" and "appears poised" do seem slightly more particular than your average News of The World/People/Mirror kite-flying rubbish.
Why would a promoted club sell its player of the year. You could argue it's too ridiculous to make up, or even use to pad space out on Page 59 of a Sunday tabloid?
Having said that, it does obviously appear a complete non-runner.
Even if there was any substance at all to any of the rumours floating around about a deteriorating relationship between him and the manager, you'd have to think £3m was a starting price for a top Championship player, even if we were, for some reason, willing sellers.
Although appearing absurd, maybe worth keeping an eye on until we get a firm denial?

I guess it all depends if you believe any of the rumours doing the rounds that Lawrence and Pulis's relationship at the moment isn't the greatest.
We were also linked with the Derby midfielder Miles Addison before Christmas so maybe that could be the part of any deal.
Having said that it is the NOTW, so it's probably rubbish.

Well, maybe it's crazy... but cast your mind back not to last season but the way Liam was, let's face it, floundering in the Prem in the first few games. Now maybe, like Ryan, that was temporary and he's now going to come roaring back and be everything we're hoping for. But there was plenty of talk on here then about whether he was really Prem quality, and if he IS one of those Darren Huckerby-type players who look too good for the Champ but somehow don't make the step up, it might not be such a bad piece of business. I'm eternally grateful to Lenny but if this helped fund Ledley I could probably live with that.

Derby can just jog on....
i would believe it if it was something like signing Cort or signing Tonge on Loan ???
Lawrence is superb...BUT
We would be cashing in on him for big money players that have been knocked around such as Fred and Dindane... I want him to stay though...
Then again, I wanted players like Kyle Lightbourne to stay ;D

TBH honest chaps, I cannot see how anyone would justify selling arguably one of our best players. Fully fit, Lawrence could do a real job for us this season, his set plays are top rate and his creativity is essential. Selling him would be a step backwards and doing it to Derby would be catastrophic.
I hope theres no truth in this, Liam is a Stokie.
