I'd like to be too, supping a beer with my mate who emigrated there last summer, sadly for tootz, he's neither from stoke, nor a football fan, so is unlikely to be a source of info for the question he asked

Hi Tootz, Yep i live in melbourne, Usually the Dick Turpin in the City will have it on particularly as it s the main game, dont know if Man U are on veiwers choice or not, if they are then as he is a mad Man U fan he will probably put that on, otherwise The Spread Eagle in Richmond would as there is a big stokie from Biddulph who demands they put it on, but as its a 2 oclock kick off maybe too late for them. Prob best place would be the Casino sports bar!

My sister lives about 45 minutes outside Melbourne and I'll be over there in the summer (not that you care!).
Stay off the VB- it's vile! Coopers is the way to go!!

Is the Charles Dickens Tavern still open on Collins St underground?
