I had shed loads of problems with Tiscalli. They are cheap, but IMO rubbish, I swapped and went to BT, not had any problems i've been with BT for 18 months not had any problems, just coming to the end of the contract and they offered me a £2 reduction from £24 to £22, seems a pitiful reduction when people like 02 are offereing it for about £10. Anybody else just signed up to a new supplier, any other good ones out there?

Northwichstokie. I have just come to the end of a 12 month contract with BT. They rang me a couple of month before it ended offering me a couple of quid off if I signed up for another 12 months. I told them no - I would review at the end of my contract - was paying £26 for unlimited downloads.
Anyways rang them last week to cancel - told them I was moving to O2 or Sky as they were cheaper. The operator went away for a couple of minutes and came back offering me the same package for £15 per month - 12 month contract.
Due to fact O2 are not yet in the local exchange so would have to pay £17 and didn't fancy putting money in Sky's coffers I accepted.
Bare in mind that if you cancel BT your BT vision box will no longer work.

Cheers not sure what a BT vision box is, i have a wireless router. 02 offered a wirless router free as well. BT are not capable of delivering more than 1mb from our exchange for the next 2 years so size isn't important What about capacity or how much you can download, anybody understand that? BT have no restrictions

BT vision box is a personal video recorder and works very similar to Sky + but with the free view channels only. You can also download content to it on a pay to view basis - films etc.
If you subscribe to BT internet the box is free but you have to request it and like I said it won't work with any other provider other than BT. It's a brilliant piece of kit.
I'm surprised BT can't deliver more than 1 meg from your exchange. You must live along distance away from it. £24 amonth seems excessive for only 1 meg.

The best thing to do is change your email address to a gmail account, this way it doesn't matter who your ISP is.

slow ya roll northwichstokie, im on the northwich exchange and i used to get 4 meg even though i live 3 miles away from the exchange in lostock, i changed over to BE unlimited with there LLU service and my speeds are 8-10 meg and not limits on downloads and no fair useage policy, been with them for 18 months or so and i download about 300 gig of data PER MONTH
be actually share harware with O2 but i have found BE's customer services to be A1

I use o2 too, switched from BT cus they were 2 slow. Plus o2 don't restrict your online activiteies. Had the BT Vision box too but that was SHITE. IMHO anyway
