So the post-Christmas silly season is well and truly upon us and the press mind games have started beween the goliaths at the top and now it's reported that Scholari has 4 months (FFS!) to "turn things around" at Chelsea.
Does that pressure play into our hands, or will it rile Chelsea enough to mean we're in for pasting no. 2* this season?
* 3-0 is not a pasting in my book.

I look at Chelsea's players and (justifiably) think, oh shit, Deco, Ballack, Joe Cole, Drogba, Anelka, etc...
However, you wouldn't believe the level of malcontent amongst the Chelsea faithful about their season so far and, particularly, Scholari.
I live in Surrey about 3 miles from their training ground and 50% of the kids and parents at my lad's school are Chelsea.
If you think Stokies overreact to poor performances you should hear this lot.
For me the key is to keep them out for the first 30 minutes. If we park the bus and frustrate them the home crowd will turn on their players. Then we need to up the tempo and have a go.
I feel there is a possibility of a point so long as we don't concede early. If we do, it could spell a tonking.
Hopefully, Matty and James's presence will have given the whole squad renewed vigor and belief.
GO ON STOKE, DO EEEET...

Yeah Ive got a mate at work, who lives near there. He's been saying how he's been getting pissed off with the lack of wins and that he might not renew his season ticket next season (half due to the lack of 3pm Saturday kick offs).
Although with the talent they have, I can sort of see why they could get pissed off, with Cashley being a cock and Ballack paid to sit on the bench.

We must try to unsettle them. A few attacks will mean them getting nervy. If they get an early goal they will get into their groove and do a professional job on us. So we mustn't do any gormless Blackburn syle defending.

I know this might sound a bit daft but I really fancy us to get a result on Saturday. 2-1 to the potters, goals from Etherington and kitson.

Chelsea's fans are extremely fickle. I have found that out over the last 2 seasons through mates.
I agree that if we can keep them out, til half time, they might implode.
As for giving big Phil this ultimatum, REDICULOUS. One of the best managers in the world

:)chelsea are still a quality side just look at there players.
However they have struggled at home so far this seaosn with draws against west ham, newcastle, southend! burnley! and a couple of defeats.
i feel like that if we can keep it tight and frustrate them first half, and most importantly keep lampard quite! we have a chance of nicking something from this game, this may be rose tinted glasses syndrom but i really do.
with the two new signings i am really looking forward to satdy

Strange I had a dream last night, Kitson scored and we won. Very strange to dream about Kitson, but will dream about him all the while if we win.
