Ok we've got a bit more choice now - which THREE from this list would you like as your "first choice" strikers. Could be rather interesting. Beattie Camara - Yes Didane Fuller - Yes Harewood - Yes Kitson Mama Gosh no place for Mama or BT

Beattie - yes Camara - replacement for a mama injury Didane - yes, if he's as good as he looks on you tube Fuller - no, bench layer come on to create something special
Harewood - Not coming so no pint including him Kitson - yes, providing we play with wingers, getting balls into the box Mama - yes if we play the mama way

You mean like the prolific Sidebe, who has averaged 5 goals a season?
I think if Saturday proved anything it showed that we can play well with attacking options without Mama. The fact that we didn't score is just down to bad luck. I'm not advocating getting rid of Mama because he always gives us that holding role option that no other player seems to be able to replicate for us. However after watching on Saturday I would prefer us to play like that more often and use the Mama plan if all else fails. You have to admit it's a hell of a lot nicer to watch, without losing any quality.
So I'd go for in no particular order
Beattie Kitson Fuller

Interesting that our current "strikeforce" features strongly in the selections, suggests we're not as far away as we all might think.

At the moment, I'd go for Ric, Beattie & Kits, but I'd like to see more of Dindane first.

The harder question is surely which two start.
Until I see beattie play, mama & fuller still for me. Mama gives us so much of an outlet, and i think this will become even more apparent when etherington is supporting him. Fuller in there just for his constant goal threat. However if beattie is nearly as good as mama at being mama then i would probably start with beattie instead of mama. Camara to come on for fuller as an supersub.
To be honest i don't think i'd find a place for kitson very easily at all.

Fuller would always be the first name on the sheet for me. If we're going to play a more varied game, I think we can do better than Mama
But if we're going to be hoof-reliant, with everything going through him, he's shown he's about the best there is in our budget at doing what he does.

Beattie is a goal scorer not a target man to be played just in front of midfield. If TP is seriously thinking of buying him to play the Mama role he may as well just not fucking bother and save his money. It is possible, as proved on Saturday to play 4-4-2 and play well.

H Hear what you're saying, but we are always going to launch it to some extent (as we did on saturday) and we are going to need someone underneath those - beattie is good in the air, so like it or not he's going to end up doing some of that sort of work if he comes and plays with Fuller. But you're right in that the point of signing beattie, ethers, and possibly ledley is that we do need to move away from our current 'mama tactic' to some extent. I think mama can adapt his game too, but obviously he is never going to be the natural finisher that beattie is.

I just think that if we are going to revert to the Mama role then I can't think of anyone who can do it better than Mama to be honest. Well not in our budget anyway. Beattie would be wasted in the Mama role IMHO, yes he is good in the air, but hopefully he would be played up front with another striker to get on the end of decent crosses from the likes of Etherington.
