Got an interview in 2 weeks time for a job at the council offices on a 6 month contract. Don't know much about it because it's the Jobcentre folks that've matched me to it and are sending me on it because I've been signing on for 6 months now

Cheers Glyn, has anyone gone for any of those yet? yeh, i applied for the bet365 one, got an email today turning me down. it would appear having an interest in betting and consistantly taking money off them goes against you. fuckin wankers, did'nt fancy giving up my weekends for £6.50 an hour anyway.

Not sure if this has been posted somewhere in the last 16 pages but here goes, when i first started looking for work i used to visit all the usual websites (jobcentre, jobsite, fish, monster etc) but if you goto www.indeed.co.uk it is like a comparison site thingy that searches all of them for you in one place saves loads of time

i'm also a qualified bricky with some experience, not loads but im capable of working with someone with more job knowledge, i'm neat and my speed will come back after a bit of time with my hand on the trowel. Even if there is any labouring for any trades need doing, i'm good at it all and i have a CPCS card. i can build good garden walls etc, its just when it comes to going on site with drawings etc. I also had a telehandler licence CPCS, that has expired but i'm shit-hot on one, loads of experience on small sites in tight spaces. i'm looking to get it re-done its just the money situation atm hampering any progress. Thing is if there is anyone out there willing to give me a start i've been told i can get funding to re-new my ticket by some government grant. Its so frustrating not being able to find a position and in the process of looking have lost my main tool for a job, my car is knackered and at the moment can't afford sort it out. i'd also be more than willing to workaway if need be. dark days, very dark days.

also ive been told at the job center about somthing called work trials, it basically means that i can work while being on job seekers allowance without signing off. Its basically a trial period where the employer doesnt have to pay me, whilst i prove i'm capable of doing the job, i'm more than willing for this too if anyone can help.
