www.staffshousing.org.uk/p/current_vacancies.phpSome jobs at my place. Decent hours, pay's better than average in Stoke and it's a pretty interesting job to do. Get to meet some interesting people around Stoke too. The maintenance tech might suit some of you who've been laid off whilst constructions hit the fan. I know the money's not the best by comparison but it's a doddle.

A couple of jobs should be available soon as Operator Technicians at the Power Station I work in near Thetford in Suffolk. I won't pretend it's pleasant! We burn chicken shit (mainly) to make power, so a fair bit of the place stinks and it can be (in fact usually is ) hard work. They like folk to have a mechanical aptitude and ideally (but not necessarily) some sort of qualification in that area, starting pay is 21k but can be more depending on experience and qualifications. They're also looking for Production Team Leaders, starting pay for that would be £32k minimum. If anyone's interested drop me a pm and I'll give more details.

I am trying to grow my photography business at present after losing my job. Taken a bit of a punt and had a website designed. Feast your eyes. If anyone knows of someone in need of a photographer I have good rates, and offer a nice professional service. Available for all events. www.jameshardacrephotography.co.uk

they've just started doing groundworks for a new £63m Manchester police HQ opposite our offices in East Manchester, probably a lot of construction works going to go up. No planting time bombs

It wouldn't make a million but hopefully a few would buy prints, also it would give us and you pics to send to the Sentinel and maybe Staffordshire Life too?

I hear Tesco are taking on heavily in September.
Also read in the paper the other week that in the UK they've got over 3,000 jobs available!

I hear Tesco are taking on heavily in September. Yeah, they are starting a "Tech Advisor" program. So if anyone wants to know certain capabilities of T.V's etc then they will be able to ask. There is a training course (for the Longton store) on the 2nd of September in Stafford. The company running it are NOT Tesco however, so you wouldn't actually be employed by them. I know this because i'm going on that course.

I'm currently out of work and looking for things. I used to work for the government's Warm Front grant (Partnership Development) in and around North Staffs, Cheshire, Shropshire, West Mids, North West, North & Mid Wales until I left to work for a public sector events company and lost that job after 6 weeks! Anyway, I've a postgraduate degree in European Politics, live in Stoke and am looking for work. Cheers everyone OK, what's a warm front grant ? Is that something to do with incontinence?

LOL.
No my friend, it's a grant towards the cost of loft and cavity wall insulation, along with boiler replacements. I didn;t get too involved with the installation side - my job was developing contacts with local authorities and getting the word out to vulnerable people living in communities across my area. I'm born and bred around here, but there is a Warm Zone (same but different) locally so not much need for Warm Front.
