Sorry if already posted.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has accused Rafael Benitez of being "ridiculous".
Liverpool's boss claimed Ferguson goes unpunished for criticising referees and even suggested United are a "bit scared" of the Premier League leaders.
"There was a lot of venom in what he has said," responded Ferguson. "I don't understand where it has come from.
"When he reflects on it he must realise what he is saying is ridiculous. He is obviously disturbed about something."
Ferguson refused to discuss Benitez's comments in too much detail, preferring instead to bask in his side's 3-0 win over Chelsea.
Following Sunday's impressive win at Old Trafford, third-placed United have closed the gap on Liverpool to five points, with two games in hand.
Benitez launched his attack on Ferguson during an extraordinary four-minute monologue in a news conference on Friday and also said he believed the Scot was nervous because Liverpool are top of the league.
"We had a Respect campaign meeting and I said forget it because Mr Ferguson is 'killing' the referees," said the Spaniard.
He added that Ferguson is "the only manager who will not be punished" for verbally attacking referees and also claimed that Ferguson and his United support staff intimidate match officials. An unrepentant Benitez launched a fresh attack on Ferguson following Liverpool's 0-0 draw at Stoke on Saturday, suggesting the United boss may be "a little bit scared" of the Merseyside club's title challenge.
"In 20 years, nobody could say these things but maybe they think the same as me," stated Benitez. "I don't regret it."
His actions, seemingly triggered by Ferguson's assertion that nerves may affect Liverpool's title challenge, have provoked huge debate, while the Football Association is set to review Benitez's comments before deciding whether to take any action against him.
But the Liverpool manager claims he has received plenty of support.
"I can guarantee a lot of people have sent a lot of messages, not to me but to our staff and a lot of people in Liverpool," he revealed.
"It is one person saying what everyone wants to say but I was not thinking about what people think, I was thinking about my club and Mr Ferguson's comments on Liverpool this season. You can understand why."
When asked if he thought Ferguson was nervous, Benitez replied: "Clearly. Maybe he is a little bit scared.
"He is talking too much about Liverpool. He has to think about his own team, the problems they have and all the things they are doing.
Dont understand where it came from or wont understand where it came from?
Wake up Fergie, the whole country see's what you and your club are doing

I have concern for the F.A that they continually manipulated by McUnited, and I'm glad Mr. Coates and Mr. Bernitez have the guts to stand up and say something about it.

Is that your catchphrase? Along with this being your favourite site?
despite your love for your club, you have failed on any threads to give valid arguments that are even remotely plausable that credit, beside that link.
I'm giving up trying to argue mate, nothing i say will be a valid critism towards your beloved.

Nice name kd, taken after your bulldyke hero, one presumes?
As for Ferguson, the man is a twat, and gets no better with age. The undeniable fact is that he is a magnificent manager, but as a human being, there is much to dislike. The fact he is knighted annoys me immensely given he gives fuck all to the game, and at 70 the sight of him limping after a referee to berate him after he dares to give a decision against them is in equal parts, undignified & faintly embarrassing. A brilliant ambassador for the game he is not.
Despite being more successful, he will never be remembered with the same respect and fondness that the likes of Busby, Shankley, Fagin, Paisley & Clough enjoy. So whilst he basks in the glory of a brilliant career, we can all take solace in the fact that when all is said and done, Ferguson is a grade A cunter.

VP - I wholeheartedly endorse everything you have said. Apart from all that, what about the way he err..... manipulates (bribes) the FA to make sure that refs are lenient towards The Shit. Just look at the game on Boxing Day. They should have been down to nine men. I counted three "f*** offs" alone towards the linesman (assistant referee) after Rooney tried to behead Ab Faye. Then the Ferrari-crashing ponce trying to break Wilko's leg. No wonder he gave it to him right up the arse - unfortunately getting sent off in the process

See the thing is, I'm a Man United fan, but I do believe that Fergie is often posted in a negative light, when really he could be a nice man. First of all there's the fact people like Pulis have said Fergie is in contact with him a lot, he helps out a lot with lower league clubs. I think Shawcross was sold to you for a cut price fee to ensure he got more football and not languishing in our reserves. Players like Bellion claim Fergie still rings up every now and then to check how he's doing, and I heard Shawcross say that he's still intouch with the Man United training regime. Sure he winds referees up, but to suggest he's wholly favoured by the media is unfair. Sure Rooney does look like he gets preferential treatment from the referee, but I've got a feeling that's becaus ehe's a high profile ENglish player. Sometimes I'd even book him for dissent But then you look at 8 months to Rio, 4 match ban for Evra, and he's the only manager to have more than a one match ban this season I think. Some of the penalties United face can be said to be harsh.
