I am getting more and more angry everytime I hear T.P. being interviewed by our Nige. The guy that he is speaking to after the match is Stoke City through and through. But he persists in my opinion taking the piss out of Nige. I can think of so many examples, like when asked about Scholes going to France and TP saying he had gone for some wine.
I then listened to his interview on Setanda and he was far more cooperative with the reporter.
TP just remember this, our Nige is only looking for snippets for the fans who are all Radio Stoke listeners. Just bear this in mind when you are next interviewed by him and please treat him with some respect. He is more of a Stokie then any of the TV progs and you should treat him accordingly.

I always got the impression he got on fine with Nige. He's going to be less formal when talking to him because he's been interviewing him for years.

I think if Nige wants some respect, he might want to start acting like a journalist, and ask some probing questions rather than displaying the level of sycophancy that we have come to expect of him.

I actually agree with this. TP refused to talk about transfers with Nige but then gave a decent answer to the same question on MOTD.
It's quite a regular thing, though, to be honest. Every week he says more to the national media than the local media, which is very frustrating as I sit in with the local lads!

I think if Nige pushed, like he has in the past, then TP becomes entirely un co-operative, I remember him doing it previously and Nige has been a pussy ever since..

Homzy its nice to see you see things as they really are. There is no harm in our Nige and I think he should be treated differently and better than the others. TP ought to be ashamed of himself and there are other people in broadcasting think the same.

He obviously doesnt want to talk about any potential deals, because if he does then that alerts our perennial transfer competitors, i.e. Tango Man and Roy Hodgson.
I believe he has learnt to keep quiet.

I think Nigel Johnson is extremely lucky to be treated as a professional, he seems to talk out of his arse most of the time,an ideal colleague for the mumbling scotsman. Are they really half p****d or just putting on an incredibly convincing double act.
