Anybody remember the booming joey jordans barmy army in his first game in charge against leicester?? Lasted for most of the first half i think. We need to start another one of these for TP at the next home game. Let's get behind the manager for once at a home game. A few tried to start it yesterday but didn't work. Let's get on it and show TP that most of us are behind him

Yeah that's the one. Still got the Leicester game on tape and it was awesome watching the boothen jumping up and down to it. Let's do it again for a manager who deserves our support

How many of you were singing it in block 19 cus' it couldn't be heard in block 23... we had a little one in the first half a fare few of us sang it but no one further along the boothen would join in, it would be imense if the whole boothen sang it. but we sing it every game and it never happens

Well lets get it started. Lets make sure that next time we're on MOTD or SKY that's all the commentators can here.

hardly no one sings in blocks 20 too 23 he is right tbh, everybody just sits down and doesnt move a muscle only when we score, bar the odd few at the top, get joining in with the songs and help spread it across the boothen

It is the clapping that stops the song for developing in the way that it did in the 90's for Lou Macari and that famous Joe Jordan effort v Leicester.
Very little clapping to that version, no additional "we hate vale" or anything like that to ruin it.
Just chanting and bouncing. Just how it should be done.
The lack of popularity our manager enjoys also stifles the attempts to get this going properly!

Was it only me who thought singing songs about Vale to be a little bit small-time and embarrassing?

We sung it in Blocks 24 - 26. I often help it along a bit, then it's gets going.

Two factors work against it...
although most now acept what TP has done, the warmth isn't quite there for this to be sustained as of old...and agree with robvandeurzen83 the clap and 'we hate vale' takes away the impact rather than adding to it.

Block 19 were rushing Delilah again, and we'll be with you, no idea why they can't sing in time with everyone else.
