Don't care what anyone says. These people get dismissed as idiots who know nowt about nogger then the same people who dismiss them get annoyed by their views.

Yesterday was a good example of them putting into practice their philosophy of the end justifying the means. Stoke succeeded for the second time this season in holding Liverpool to a 0-0 draw. Yes they won a point. But who in their right mind outside the Potteries would ever want to watch their negative, crude dross every week or even any week?
we out played the team at ther top of the league for most of that game

I'd have more respect for Tony if he didn't use Hull and Wigan as shining examples as to how the game should be played.

I got bored reading that article it was such utter tripe HG or Muggledbrain could have written it!
If Stokes football was half as boring as that article I wouldn't be going again! As it is I can't wait to go to Chelsea next week.
We maybe a bit of a throw back to the days of atmosphere at football and a great up and at em attitude but to 99.9% of real football fans of all teams thats exactly what we go for. If we wanted poncy sillouettes <spelling> and stage managed artsistry I'd go to the ballet. I want 'proper' battles with equal measures of skill and muscle and I reckon we have the balance about right.

There was a time before the Premiership and co commentators , that the real football fan made is own mind up about what he was witnessing at any given game.
Today it's fashionable for the fair weather football fan to be spoon fed by lazy journalism, annoying commentators and co commentators trying to educate us about what we are watching and TV and Radio analysts with condescending remarks about teams that are not among st the fashionable elite.
The result everyone jumping on the bandwagon to say Stoke, Bolton play ugly , WBA play pretty , and so on.

Spot on mate. The commentators drive me nuts sometimes. It's so rare anymore that the commentary actually adds any insight, it's just there for background noise. Having a big name ex-player or what have you, is all very well if they actually bring something to the table, but often times their observations are, well, obvious.

You want anti-football, switch over to the Man Utd - Chelsea game. I have never seen so much chirping between players, back chat to the ref and diving since, well, Boxing Day!!

Football isn't about sportsmanship any more (well, not at this level anyway). And as for this guy's blog - I doubt he's written anything original and thought provoking in his life. It's almost as if he's applying for a job with The Mirror...
