luigiSCFC.. as you can probably see the noice and songs that you start tend o carry on to us in 18 and 17 but once you get 16 it is very quiet.. it also very funny to watch tho's near the south stand (block 9 and 10? ? ?) chanting at the away fans to get a reaction ;D

I sit in the JSL and try to sing and only a couple of people around me sing. I'm 14 and sit there on my own its pretty crap atmosphere there to be honest. Don't think I'll sit there next season.

Me and my 2 lads sit in block 16, always sing. it just the old farts around us who complain about standing up, if they sang the noise would be massive !!

Another Block 13er here. I've sat there for 10 seasons and there's quite a few supporters around that join in now making it a much better atmosphere than in the past. Sit in Block 13, just a few in there including one tone deaf bloke!!! That could well be me ;D

i sit in block 9 with my old man and his mates......we try our best but its hard when the majority (not all) around us dont like to get involved, il probably move to another arera of the ground next season......i think a biggerr problem to the atmosphere is the lack of cohesion between every1 in block 19 and the rest of the ground, its like theyr all wizzin there heads and finish songs....especially delilah earlier than everyone else....... it sounds right amateurish, dont know why thye cant hear it and do something about it

It's a bit difficult where I sit (first row behind the directors' box) but I do my best. Wondered, on Saturdya, if I should pluck up the courage to sing Don't Cry For Me, Argentina, but decided against, as the Cheating One probably only understands Spanish.

atmosphere in js is apalling, I hate it there Well you obviously don't sit by me mate. Granted I don't sing much but you won't find anyone in the ground who abuses referees and the opposition as much as me mate. Believe me their is plenty of noise up there

Other than the pocket of fans by the away end, does anybody in there sing ? I have only been in there once this season ( v Derby ) on the upper tier and nobody was singing, hence I ask. From us hardcore singers in Block 11 West Stand I thank you for your referring to us as a "pocket" ! BTW if you buy seats on the back row (28) of the Lower Tier, you can stand up all through the match ! Smashing ! ;D

lordb IMHO block 7 is the right level for the JSU, ie not OTT enough for those that have spent decent money, especially if with kids to get offended , but enough of an atmosphere to feel part of the game - Though that scouse bloke to your right needs to calm it down on occassions IMO only occassion in 10 yearsthat the atmosphere's been misplaced one way or the other up there ( it's not in the boothen afterall, which presumably is why most have chosen to sit up there ), was the drum last game of the season and that includes when the Man City firm were sent packing time and place and IMHO football's not the place for drums, either in the boothen or the JSU
