They were quite loud, but it was the usual wafer thin songbook of banal lower-league/soccer AM tripe, sung by a bunch of clueless morons whose only aim seemed to be trying to goad the away fans. The obscenely loud music and ridiculous mascots, as well as that dicktube announcer telling you when the "mighty potters" were coming out the tunnel sums up a lot about whats wrong with the state of modern football. Real non-football highlight today for me was the boucing underneath the stand and singing we're gonna win the league - the plastic spoons flying everywhere were boss. Also why do the toilets that are techincally for women (by number 38) have fucking urinals in them? Shithole. Glad I won't have to go back next season. ^ that's what someone responded to that!

'...Also why do the toilets that are techincally for women (by number 38) have fucking urinals in them?' They just don't know Stokie women do they?? ;D thats one answer, the other is that the womens bogs are in the "home section" of the south stand, and they just changed the sign on the door, and they really are gents toilets ;D

I know it isn't going to happen until we are established as a Prem side - but if we can create that sort of atmosphere now, imagine what we could do if the corners were all filled in! Unfortunately if we are an established Prem side we'll probably be munching prawn sarnies and leaving 20 minutes early ;D We must be partially established then, cos theres no end leaving early! Seriously, it does piss me off when people start going at 80mins. Especially last night when it was 0-0 and all to play for! Strange.

I don't mind people leaving early. But what really annoys me are those who get up, walk down the gangway and then watch the last five minutes from the gangway. I also hate the people behind me who then moan because I have stood up because the morons in the gangway are blocking my view!

Pol - crikey chief, I felt it was the best concerted singing of the season last night.
As for Liverpool, ffs, Colchester with 200 made far more noise. The myth of their loyal, noisy support is blown out of the water yet again. The highlight of their night was "watching plastic spoons flying about" - ffs, someone needs a social life. Worst support since the Brit opened. 2nd hand Celtic songs sung by 75 half-heartedly when you're top. Plums.

the brit is a good atmosphere on certain occasions, it will be interesting to see if it will be the same in 2 years when the euphoria of premier league fixtures against the 'Big-Boys' dies down a bit.
We also as fans sometimes have a moan about the inconcistency of the teams performances, yet as supporters we too are inconsistent we raise our vocal support for the 'Glamour ties' and games played on live t.v. but against the lesser teams we are not so vocal.

Liverpool are a club in decline. They are miles off ManU and Chelsea. 3rd is the best they can hope for this season even with their flukey start. Once Man City get their act together, a Champions League place will be beyond them and without that they will be another Villa, Everton or even Tottenham. Big clubs whose best bet for glory is one of the domestic cup competitions.

A must read for all proud fans. On the BBC football page (Benitez remais defiant) there is a great paragraph from Phil McNulty describing how the Britannia Stadium was like a bearpit , raw, and a throwback to how things used to be. Nice one Phil could someone make a signature with the quote in? it'd be quality ;D

Liverpool like any of the other big teams feel it is their birth right to beat lesser teams and spout anger and abuse at any team who dares compete with them. This is a media driven sky sports sponsered problem. So let them whinge like babies with broken toys it just makes them look more ridiculous.
