Alternatively there is the approach of... "Well obviously they've spent big in the summer and we just can't be expected to compete with that. If we can keep them out early doors and get two banks of four across them we can hope to pinch a late goal and squeeze through"

Top Man, I got to know Gudjon a bit. He is Brill!!! I wish him well even at Crewe. Gudjon will have my eternal gratitude for leading us out of the third division, and I have to admit that my antipathy towards the trainspotters has softened a little since his appointment there. I'd almost be pleased to see them survive! However, anyone suffering from glassy-eyed nostalgia about his time here should be forced to watch a video of the Smallsall play-off game the year before. It took a long time before I forgave him for his team selection on that day. It's not only TP who can baffle us with his strange picks...

I saw him in Debenhams once (when it had a 'sports' section) with some other Icelandic people, all gawking at goalkeeper's gloves. It was a bit odd.

Legend. Got to ask the question where we would be if he hadn't have took us up that season.
Not sure how, but i think he'll keep Crewe up, top manager, wish him all the best.

Nothing comared to Billy Davies, who recons Forest will be in the prem in 3 and half years That's a pretty realistic target. So long as he keeps them up this season, then it would not surprise me at all to see Forest back in the top flight within three years.

Really knowles, I don't think they have the basis to create a promotion challenge.
I don't know what their finances are like? I do that Billy can get the best out of players, he worked wonders at Preston and Derby, but although Forest have an excellent fan base, and should be in the top flight they have fantastic history compared to the likes of Fullham, hull, Wigan.
I jsut 3 years after this season is been optimistic, especially connsidering the teams that will stay down this year at least one of reading, brum, wolves palace, who are all very good teams at the level, then there are teams like palace and derby...aswell as the teams to come down this season

In the local press he is less than happy with the defenders and goalie in particular. Expect changes.
A solid defence is something Crewe have needed for 10 years and have failed dismally to create.
Cometh the hour!!!

Gudjon has told them that they need to play it out of defence a bit less-the Crewe fans will love that! ;D

Gudjon has told them that they need to play it out of defence a but less-the Crewe fans will love that! ;D Going by their league position, it doesn't look like they're getting it out of defence at all. ;D
